These adaptors are great: For less than £4 these have let me use standard USB flash drives on my Android smartphone to transfer files easily.

That's the main use case I have, data flows well and there's no overheating which I've seen on other adaptors.

As for the "USB C female/ USB A male" adaptor, I've not used those yet, but expect they are equally as performant.

These are very handy adapters to keep around, allowing you to negotiate the mix of USB Type-C and Type-A ports and connectors that exists now. Presumably at some point everything will be Type-C, but for the foreseeable future these will help keep devices, cables and charging ports usable and compatible.

There are four adapters in the pack- two Type-C female to Type-A male, and two Type-A female to Type-C male. They conform to USB 3.0 - so can handle data transfer at up to 5Gbps. A quick test between my phone and laptop resulted in successful data transfer in both directions (using one of each type of adapter at either end of a Type-C to Type-A cable). My phone's port is USB 2.0, so I couldn't push the adapters to their full extent speed-wise, but certainly fast enough for my purposes.

Charging is supported up to 3A (so 15W) - and you'll have to remember this as it is not labelled at all (unfortunately). This is more than fast enough for me, but if you need super-fast PD charging you'll need to look elsewhere. My phone, tablet and ear buds all charge at the correct speed, with no issues, using these adapters.

The build quality is fine - certainly at the price point. One odd design feature is that the Type-C female socket and the Type-A male plug have a small recess and a small stand-off respectively - like they are specifically designed to fit in to each other (which would be largely pointless). It's not a big deal, but a bulky USB Type-C plug might struggle to fit the female Type-C port correctly/fully.

At the time of review, these adapters work out about a pound each, so no complaints on that score.

This is a handy set of four adapters. You get two USB A (female) to USB C (male) and two the other way round. During this transition from USB A to USB C it is handy to be able to convert cables either way.

The USB C male ones are metal bodied and the USB A male and plastic but still feel robust. They connected and worked fine with a couple of different devices I tried for data and charging.

These are great in a pinch but I would be concerned about putting stress on the device port and the cable ends using them as a long term solution. This is not specific to these adapters but all of them as the adapter + cable end obviously sticks out more making it more vulnerable to bending forces from a hanging cable or being accidentally knocked.
