Airtight Coffee Canister

When you want to drink fresh coffee or eat other nut-rich biscuits, do you find from time to time that they are permeated with moisture and, therefore, have to be thrown away?

Coffee beans naturally give off carbon dioxide. However, this CO2 damages the freshness of the coffee and causes the beans to lose their aroma more quickly.

Our coffee canister's unique valve vents the CO2 without letting in air or moisture.

Why should coffee beans be stored airtight?

  • If coffee beans are exposed to too much oxygen, the nutrients inside the beans will oxidise quickly and lose their flavour and nutritional value.
  • Coffee beans have many gaps in their surface, which can easily attract other flavours from the air and contaminate the original flavour.
  • Moist coffee beans make it more difficult to grind and affect the flow rate during extraction. It is therefore very important to keep the coffee beans dry during storage.
  • This airtight coffee jar is designed to meet daily capacity requirements, and will not take up substantial space in the kitchen.
