I ordered the Mac the day before yesterday and it arrived early this morning so a very quick delivery!
The packaging was good and solid and the plug is sturdy (unlike the iPhone plugs that seem to be produced by Apple these days (the sceptic in me thinks Apple make those shoddy just to sell more replacements but I’m digressing!!)
I can’t take credit for setting up the Mac because my son did it for me and we all know that the moment we turn 40 we lose our prior IT genius skills that we enjoyed in our youth so I was most grateful for his willing intervention! Having said this though it was clearly very straight forward to set up and log into my existing iCloud account because my son had done it in a matter of minutes.
It has everything I expected of the 2020 model and lives up to the hype that is made about the Mac. I’ve added the software update this evening and followed some ‘how to’ guides in the system (I’m used to a Dell touchscreen laptop so it might take me a minute to stop trying to use it as a touch screen laptop or iPad!
The camera doesn’t seem to be quite the same quality as the camera on my iPhone, I noted the screen is a little grainy on a FaceTime call but this is only minor.
I can’t provide any technical insight because I’m bloody useless with that but I can say it’s a great price for a great device and the only minor thing that gives away that this is a excellent refurb and not a new Apple store bought device is a tiny dent that is barely visible to the bottom corner at the back of the device - that was only spotted on very close inspection…. So value for money, a great bit of kit and a buyer I’d recommend without hesitation.
