The computer arrived very promptly, which is impressive. And it was clean and carefully packaged, albeit without the Apple packaging (which is understandable). What is strange is that the computer was not restored to factory settings as I would have expected, but came with its own password. I wondered what else might be there on the machine. It has taken me 24 hours and repeated attempts to upgrade to Sonoma (in order to transfer from another machine which was already running Sonoma), including having to download and reinstall Monterey first. There is a strange second disk noted and flagged up as something the computer is uncomfortable with. Maybe it explains why the machine runs a bit slowly. I don’t understand this, but have done my best to get rid of it. And maybe once my old computer has uploaded its stuff all may be well. Second, the included mouse and keyboard are not even Apple, but PC. So, everything may well be okay in the longer term, but if the computer had arrived with factory settings restored, it would have saved me a lot of time and concern. And an Apple keyboard and mouse would have been welcome.
