Very happy with this de bobbler machine. My harris tweed cushions, long wool winter coat and pachamama jersey were really bobbling. This took a couple of hours to do 6 large cushion and my large top and coat. Filled the little cartridge 4 times. You don't think it's working but when you see the colour match that comes off there's no denying it then the item looks new. I would only buy one of these with power mains as it I imagine it would lose charge quick quickly. Although this does take batteries which I didn't realised so added bonus but I can't imagine why I wouldn't plug in to the mains, the cable is very long too which was handy. Can’t rate this highly enough. I had a cheap JML battery powered unit that was doing my head in as the batteries didn’t last at all. I upgraded to a USB rechargeable unit from ��غ�� that said it had a 10hr charge time but within 30 min it was noticeably waning in power and when plugged back in it whizzed into life again.

Unfortunately the cable was very short and it split exposing wires on first use so it’s being returned. It also had the most pathetic collection chamber. That’s why I got to experience this amazing machine instead.

At the risk of sounding like a sales rep for this unit, this machine is a real beast. For £5 more than the rubbish unit I returned, this product is life changing. It has a very long cable and a battery chamber should you wish to make it more portable. Also comes with a storage bag and brush to clean it and a free extended 2 year warranty if you visit their website.

The collection chamber is cavernous and with 6 blades, two power settings and a replacement set of blades this makes light work of rejuvenating old jumpers, scarfs and gloves ready for this winter. For years I've used an old bic razor to rid clothes of bobbles (or just binned them altogether), until a friend suggested a bobble remover. I'm a researcher by profession so obviously I researched "the best one" endlessly. I was going to purchase a popular one (or two) from John Lewis... Until Reddit showed me the way.... This was so highly recommended I thought, for the price I'll take a punt. And I'm so glad I did.

The photos are from my favourite (very old) wool coat that I buggered up by dying and washing in the washing machine (do not recommend!). It now looks fantastic again thank god!
Yes, it takes effort and is very time consuming for the best results, but it does make clothes look so good. I have done countless jumpers and wool trousers with it, even my thick cotton hoodie. You need to be cautious adjusting the regulator for thick and thin clothing types and use the guard when necessary, but I have yet to zap a hole in any of my clothes (fingers crossed!).

Would certainly buy again!!!
