The basket is high quality and can support a lot of weight. I have been using it for shopping in the back of the car and it has been wonderful! I have found it much easier to carry shopping in using the basket than separate bags. The handles slide in easily enough and the basket is a lovely grey colour.

This log storage basket is not solely for storing logs. I have it in my living room, and I use it to keep various smaller gadgets and boxes. It helps me maintain a tidy space while ensuring easy access to anything I need.

I believe that the basket offers excellent value for money, looks great, and is perfectly sized to fit in most smaller spaces where it is difficult to squeeze anything else. Additionally, it is easy to fold and put away when not needed, making it a good addition to the home.

It is made of thick felt material with leather straps connected to cylindrical wooden sticks, creating stylish handles on both sides of the basket.

The basket can handle a considerable amount of weight, but I recommend not overloading it with items that have sharp edges, as they can damage the felt.

There's a gap in one side at the base

As you can see from my photos, my main issue with this basket is that there's a gap in the stitching at one side in the base. I've tried to show how the line of stitches veers close to the edge of the thick felt in one of the other photos. When I unfolded the basket and opened it up, I could then see how that stitching has failed because it's too close to the edge right on the fold. On the whole the stitching could be neater in general; I've included another photo of the back of a square that has noticeable loops in thread in it.

It's a pity because the felt itself is very thick, so the material quality is decent. The dimensions of the basket are accurate to the photo in the listing. I would say another small potential issue is that pushing the wooden handles into their loops isn't easy. There's a bit of foam lining the inside of each loop that you are working against as you push the handles through, and the fit is very tight. On the one hand, that also means the handles are gripped pretty tightly when they're in place, so there's less risk of their slipping out as you carry the basket with them. On the other hand, I had to use quite a bit of force to get them into place. If you're intending this basket as a gift for someone who doesn't have much hand strength (eg: an elderly person), you might want to set it up for them.

Basically, the gap in the bottom of the basket means I wouldn't try to store or contain small objects in it, like small toys, or small groceries as the listing suggests. It would be fine for logs, if you don't mind the possibility of small bits of bark falling out of the hole as the logs rub against each other in the basket. It would be fine for other larger items too, like as a kind of a laundry basket, or for storing folded blankets. But without mending it myself (and it will be hard to sew through the thick felt without a sewing machine), I can't store small items in it in the state in which it arrived.

I ordered this to replace a firewood holder I had that I wasn’t real happy with. While the holder is a great size, and works well as a tote, I wasn’t real happy with the fact that it was soft sided. It looks floppy because the sides fall in on itself when it isn’t full. I wanted something similar that also had a more box-like structure. This log basket definitely fits the bill; it ticks all of the boxes for me.

Why I like this one:
🙂 It is a great size; it holds a lot of firewood yet it is small enough that it fits neatly next to the fireplace.
🙂 This basket is soft felt-like fabric, but a lot sturdier and stronger than it looks.
🙂 It not only has a stable bottom but it also has stable sides, so it holds its boxlike shape without flopping around.
🙂 Has a nice look to it, kind of rustic looking in a way. It definitely doesn’t compete with the décor.
🙂 Because it is made out of a thick, felt fabric, it could be personalized if desired. It would be easy to adorn this basket with paint, patches, bling, etc.

Overall, I am very happy with the quality and design of this log holder. I would recommend this one, especially since it would also make a fabulous basket for other purposes as well. I could easily see it being used to hold knitting supplies, throw blankets, toys, crafting supplies, stuffed animals, etc.

Had already picked up a slightly larger version from the same manufacture for my logs and thought it would be good to get another to tidy up my kindling.

The baskets are made from a good quality, thick felt material and the handles bond with leather straps and thick wooden handles. Can easily be move around even when full of logs.

Overall fantastic product and really tidies up where i keep my logs and kindling.

This holds plenty of logs and wood for our smaller real fire. It holds as much as the two old buckets we were using, and so takes up less space. It is stored the hearth when the fire isn’t lit. It looks great as far as I am concerned. It was a bit tricky to push the wooden handles through the loops, I had to stretch the loops a bit first.

My only negative is that it would be greatly improved with a waterproof base, as I can’t put it on the floor by the woodshed to fill it if it is wet outside. It will be folded away for the summer or re-purposed for something else so good and versatile for many different uses. Current price of £9 is fair enough and happy to have it to use.
