The Homebrew Hydrometer is the most versatile instrument you can have in your homebrew tool box.
It allows you to calculate alcohol, see when the fermentation is finished and diagnose/troubleshoot problems.
It has a Triple Scale
- Specific Gravity
- - Sugar Scale
- - Potential Alcohol
Coloured bands indicate where to start and finish wines and beers making it very easy to read.
It shows the starting location for Dessert Wines, Table Wines and Beer.
There is also an indication where to stop the fermentation of both Beer and Wine.

Liquid Crystal Thermometer
The stick-on liquid crystal thermometer has a measuring range of 16-30 °C. It is designed to show the temperature of the surface it is attached to. This thermometer is commonly used for measuring the temperature of wine, beer, and other beverages. It is particularly useful for controlling fermentation during beer brewing or home wine making.
To use it, simply stick the thermometer onto the surface of the fermentation container
Mixing Plastic Spoon
Made from durable plastic, it is designed specifically for stirring and mixing various ingredients during brewing.
The long handle provides a comfortable grip and allows for easy reach into deep brewing vessels
The smooth surface of the spoon prevents scratching or damaging the brewing equipment, ensuring a hygienic and safe brewing environment
To use our set, follow these simple and clear steps
1. Sanitize: Before starting the brewing process, ensure that all equipment, including the fermenter, airlock, hydrometer, thermometer, and any other utensils, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized - use VWP This helps maintain a sterile environment and prevents contamination.
2. Prepare the ingredients: Follow your specific beer or wine recipe to prepare the ingredients and mixtures required for brewing.
3. Transfer the wort or must: Once the ingredients are prepared, transfer the mixture, known as the wort for beer or the must for wine, into the fermenter. Make sure to leave some headspace to accommodate the fermentation process.
4. Take hydrometer readings: Using a sanitized wine and beer hydrometer, take initial gravity readings of the wort or must. This measurement provides an indication of the sugar content and potential alcohol level.
5. Seal the fermenter: Attach the lid or stopper securely onto the fermenter to create an airtight seal. This helps maintain a controlled fermentation environment.
6. Attach the airlock: Insert the airlock into the designated hole on the fermenter lid or stopper. Fill the airlock halfway with water to create a barrier that allows gas to escape but prevents outside air and contaminants from entering.
7. Monitor the fermentation: Place the fermenter in a suitable location with consistent temperature and monitor the fermentation process. The airlock will show bubbles, indicating active fermentation. Use the LCD thermometer to keep track of the temperature and ensure it stays within the desired range.
8. Take hydrometer readings during fermentation: Periodically take gravity readings with the hydrometer throughout the fermentation process. This helps track the progress and estimate the alcohol content.
9. Sanitize for any additions: If your recipe requires additional ingredients to be added during fermentation, make sure to sanitize them properly before introducing them to the fermenter.
10. Complete fermentation: The duration of fermentation varies depending on the recipe and desired outcome. Refer to your specific instructions for recommended fermentation times.
11. Sanitize for bottling: Prior to bottling, sanitize all bottles, caps, and any other equipment that will come into contact with the beer or wine.
Transfer or bottle the final product: Once fermentation is complete, transfer the beer or wine to another vessel for further aging, clarification, or proceed with bottling.
12. Bottling: Follow the specific instructions for proper bottling techniques, including priming with sugar for carbonation.
By following these steps, you will be able to make the most out of our set and achieve great results.
Enjoy !!!
