    Love this album. Absolutely love it. I wasn't even born in the 60's but I love that there's no Beatles on here-60's weren't only about The Beatles, right?. I've deleted about 6 tracks that I just don't like but theres enough of a selection to keep everyone happy.

    Any compilation with such a petulant, optimistic title is bound not to live up to expectations. However, most of mine were met, even though I have many of these tracks elsewhere.
    It's great to have in one place Cliff's breezy, summery The Young Ones, Carole King's charmingly youthful It Might As Well Rain Until September, Del Shannon's driven Runaway, The Everlys' pounding later hit The Price Of Love, immaculate Zombies one-off She's Not There, Manfred Mann's finest single Pretty Flamingo, the sublimely righteous Unchained Melody, and impeccable, yearning Wichita Lineman.
    There's also Andy Williams at his best, two immortal tracks by the Four Tops & Martha & the Vandellas, the original r'n'b-inflected Moodies' unforgettable chart-topper Go Now, and of course the peerless Waterloo Sunset, a song it's never the wrong time to hear, by the one mid-60s group who perhaps, Beatles aside, sound as fresh & timeless today as they ever did.
    I would have chosen different examples by the Beach Boys {Do It Again or California Girls instead of the overhyped Good Vibrations}, the wonderful Hollies (I'm Alive or Yes I Will instead of He Ain't Heavy ...}, The Move {perhaps Blackberry Way or Tonight rather than the dated Flowers In The Rain}, and Cliff Bennett & the Rebel Rousers, whose sturdy version of the Beatles' Got To Get You Into My Life is fine, but I'd have chosen their superb Drifters cover One Way Love.
    There's hardly anything here I don't like ~ though a little of Mony Mony and Hi Ho Silver Lining go a long way now, and Silence Is Golden isn't a patch on the hits the Tremeloes had with Brian Poole, Do You Love Me, Someone Someone, and Candy Man.
    Van the Man is represented by the goodtime Brown Eyed Girl, and who could possibly have left off The Byrds, with that opening riff to Mr Tambourine Man as redolent of sixties pop as anything else on this almost perfect 50-track anthology.
    {I just thank the compilers for not including the awful Where Do You Go To My Lovely by Peter Sarstedt. Thanks for that, though I daresay it's on a future volume in the series.}
    Worth having, not least as each CD is filled almost to its maximum 75 or so mins. Some welcome Motown & classic soul too.
    Ah, those were the days, my friend ...

    I am a real fan of sixties music and this album is great

    I like the songs and could listen to this for hours enjoying every minute and taking me back to the best time of life. Good sound quality for kindle hd especially with earplugs in.

    Would recommend to anyone who likes sixties music

    There's something about sixties music, a simplicity that appeals and makes for easy listening. This is a great collection for relaxing to, dancing to, or just having on in the background. It's an equitable selection with a lot of very well known songs. So get out your gogo boots and mini skirt, and go for it!

    Arrived quickly and I love the songs! It's the original songs we heard on the radio too. It's one of the very best 1960's albums & I have A LOT of them!
