    Excellent package. See my review for Afraid of Sunlight Deluxe (AoS). This the same quality as that but, as the band discuss in the accompanying documentary film on the “Making of...” this is a different kettle etc.
    I think it’s an album that really works best as one listen all the way through but, yes, it is a more challenging listen. There are standouts for me:
    Alone Again...
    Great Escape...
    Made Again...
    On the whole - wish I’d picked up on this version of the band many years ago.
    Uncool? Maybe. Top class...definitely.

    What a superb album this is and Steven Wilson does an amazing job with the 5.1 surround version. The original Dave Meegan album mix is not a terrible mix by any standards, but Wilson just brings it to life. It lifts a superb album even more where it is a allowed to soar like never before. The blu-ray also houses a documentary and promo videos for the singles as well as a bonus track, the spiral remake. One top of all that you get a full live concert from that era too making this a package that is a must for any Marillion fan, but also a great we to discover the band if you are not familiar with their music. I'm only giving it 4 stars as they neglected to include the film version of the album. Its not the best, but including that would of made it a definitive release. BUY THIS NOW!

    An amazing album finally gets a surround sound release. The surround sound was mixed by Steven Wilson. So you know it's good.
    First CD is a stereo SW mix. Second CD is the original stereo mix. The other 2 CDS are from the full concert in Paris [Brave live was on Made Again but remixed].
    The Blu-ray contains the surround sound DTS-HD MA mix from SW, a 5.1 LPCM mix and a stereo mix. Add 3 promo videos, a stereo mix of The Great Escape [Spiral Remake] and a 60+ minute documentary on the making of the album.
    Some suggested that the second disc from the late 1990s should of replaced the second CD and the second CD should of just been on the Blu-ray. I agree.
    Others suggested Brave - The Movie and documentary should of been included. That's debatable.

    first thats be real.we should thank a certain person at parlophone warner music for getting them to even re-release this bands product.so the person their must be a fan.in this day and age where everything seems to be going to digital downloads which i hate,i am a music person i like to have physical product so lets keep purchasing cd so let dont fade away like all retail stores for music and the ones who still stock some product but as you see the sections in stores get smaller.love the cd format.now lets talk about this item great value first you get 4 cd and blu ray total 5 disc for under 40 dollars with 60 page book in great hard package again to produce this item not cheap to do record company really is going out of their way and trust me they are not selling 100s of thousand of units to really make money probably more like 10,000 units.the music is great you get a remix of brave studio(steve wilson)cd1,brave studio upto date remaster (dave megan)cd2. 2cd live brave new up todate remix from 1994 more balls to it and ambience.and blu ray.everyone has ears for different sound or a way a mix they like to hear .its great to hear any new mix or remaster of a product .you choice which one you like the best.the deluxe edition is great anyway you look at it lets support product so label can keep putting these deluxe editions because if they are not making anything to recoup cost they can pull plug on the rest of deluxe editions.i would guess band is picking remix person maybe to have a fresh set of ears to see if they where the original producer how album would be mixed.dave meegan is in blu ray kind od insulting to me to have someone else remix your masterpiece. clutching at straws i believe is next chris kimsey produce a great record and mix already he should be the one to bring this mix up to date.lets see if they add loreley 2 cd with new mix to that box lol.

    Un incontournable pour bien débuter dans cet univers musical. Cet album charnière pour le groupe est juste super. Il permet d'aborder l'univers de ce groupe avec des sonorités actuelles avant de plonger dans les albums plus anciens.
    Cet remastérisation permet de gommer les erreurs de l’album d'origine, tant sur la partie prise de son mais aussi sur la dynamique de l'enregistrement de l'époque de sa sortie. Le coffret possède d'autre part l'enregistrement live de l'époque, lui aussi dépoussiéré des sons parasites d'un live. L'album réédité en vinyle est juste superbe mais pas obligatoire si on veut écouter cet album car le cd est aussi musicalement très bon.
