🐣【Warm Like A Hen】Why do chicks need brooder heaters? Chickens are particularly vulnerable to low temperatures in the first eight weeks of life. They need a stable and safe heat source. The brooder's heating panels mimic the natural warmth of a hen, creating a natural hen-like, safe and warm environment for the chicks. With a maximum heating temperature of 65°C/149°F, chicks can maintain a constant temperature zone of 100°F-125°F (38-52°C), mimicking a mother hen's cuddle for healthier chicks!
🐣【Height & Angle Adjustable】The chick brooder heating plate has 7 height options for easy adjustment and marking of the chicks as they grow. The angle can be adjusted flexibly, each chick will find its favourite position and can keep about 15 chicks or ducklings warm at the same time. The brooder heater will not be disturbed by light and chicks will grow 26% faster. Flexible and durable, it can meet the needs of a wide range of chicks, poultry and birds.
🐣【Safety & Energy Saving】The heating panel of the brooder is made of high temperature resistant, flame retardant insulated metal material to ensure safety and durability. The 10x10inch heating panel provides even heat and distributes it over the chicks without burning themselves. The power is only 25 watts to minimise power consumption, the brooder heater will save up to 72% on your bills compared to heat lamp and while not having to worry about injuries, fires, or any other type of accidents.
🐣【Easy to Use & Clean】The chick brooder is easy to assemble and use, and simple enough for beginners. Press the button and insert the heating panel to the desired height. After connecting the power, wait for it to fully warm up (about one hour), then you can put the chicks underneath. The removable design is easy to clean and provides a clean and hygienic environment for the chicks. You can also observe the LED display and adjust the temperature according to the environment.
🐣【Ideal Gift】The Chick Brooder Heating Plate is the perfect gift or must-have warmer for poultry lovers. Perfect for newborn chicks, ducks, quail and birds, and can also be used to keep domestic pets warm. Upgraded 3-side baffle design can effectively isolate the cold outside air and reduce the internal heat loss, while giving the chicks added privacy and safety. Literally bought as a joke , put 5-6 organic eggs from marks and spencers.. and vuola ducks and chickens.. 😀 (gave away chickens and ducks to farmers at the end) worked too good , didn’t think it would but it did better then expected. It was used inside the house to provide enough heat

Generally, incubators are closed units so I don't think this is ideal for incubation. That said if the chicks have already hatched and you want to give the newborns a place to stay warm then this is a decent starter kit. It comes flat-packed and is very simple to assemble. It quickly clips together and has a 3-pin plug so you simply plug it in and you are away.
There is also a simple height adjustment, although it's only small so I don't see the need to move this around much once it has been set up. As well as clipping together easily, it also comes apart just as easily so it can be flat-packed for storage when it's not in use. Overall quite pleased with this, and think it's ideal for new starters due to its reasonable price and ease of use.
Easy to put together and set temperature. It also takes apart easily for cleaning and is easy to disinfect the walls, the plate has a gap around the edge so can only be wiped with a disinfectant soaked cloth but cleans easily. The heat plate gives out a good stable temperature and birds will huddle under it and feel secure. good for a small hatch, I would say up to around 10 chicks as then they grow they will struggle to all get in. I used it for 2 ducks and by 18days old they took up the entirety of the space. Happily at that age they are starting to need it less. I would buy this again.

This heater is a cunning exercise in self assembly, to make a box under which chicks can shelter for warmth. The underside of the lid is the heating surface, and its height above the "floor" can be adjusted according to which recesses in the side walls it is slotted. The higher, the cooler the interior will be and vice versa. The recessed slots are angled. The idea is that chicks can determine their preferred heating by how far they position themselves into the box. The keeper can change the heating by raising or lowering the heater.
There are disadvantages with this contraption. First is keeping it clean. It sits on or amidst the litter which requires frequent removal. Next, using height adjustment for temperature control is rather hit or miss as ambient conditions play such a large part in the chicks' behaviour. Finally, relatively few chicks can shelter under it due to its size.
We have reverted to using heat lamps suspended on long chains which can be hooked up or down for temperature adjustment. They never touch the litter and are easy to hook up higher for cleaning.
There is also a suggestion that this device can be used for incubating eggs. I've not tried it so I am merely speculating, but an incubator is a full enclosure in which humidity, which is important to hatching, as well as temperature, can be controlled. An open sided box cannot control humidity and control of heat is rather hit and miss. Should you not have a broody hen or an incubator this would be the “Hail Mary” option.
This is an ingenious exercise in design but it does not work well in practice and even for someone with only a few chicks I cannot recommend it.
