I have to admit, I didn't look at the specs for this purchase, so got a few more matches than I was expecting. Buy this set and you will have matches for life. They're a good length for lighting incense, candles (even when they're all the way at the bottom, though be careful with those large yankee candles), gas ovens, etc. A case got wet by accident, but I let them dry and they still work, so kudos for that. I would say the matches are a bit longer than your finger unless you have big hands. A picture of a match against a standard sized pencil for reference.
