Burgon & Ball RHS Stainless Steel Perennial Spade is a high performance garden tool. The comfortable 'T' grip handle is crafted from FSC certified hardwood, with a riveted strapped socket for extra strength at this key joint. The polished stainless steel head is highly resistant to rust and moves easily through the soil. It may be small, but this spade is perfectly formed, and it benefits from many of the design features of our beautiful full-sized garden spades.

Safety Warning

Always wear sturdy footwear and gloves when using this spade. For younger users, adult supervision is recommended. Be cautious when digging to avoid contact with underground utilities. Protect your eyes by wearing safety glasses, especially when working with hard or abrasive soils.

I have been buying a number of garden products from Burgon & Ball and found them to be well made and fit for purpose. There are others out there that may be equally good but my preference is for this make. I have found a number of tools not available elsewhere. This spade is just he right size for digging holes for planting new plants or transplanting. Because of the pointed end it gets deeper than a flat end spade in tight spaces. Cleaning is easy with a wire brush and a spray of oil.
