They've got a real spring to them and although on the heavier side, are still comfortable for an older lady to use and get really sharp edges to the lawn in next to no time. I saw these edging shears recommneded on a specialist website. They are more expensive than most other makes, but the quality is fantastic and they are so easy and comfortable to use. They claim to be self-sharpening, but only time will tell. This is a superb product and good value. The tool is sturdy and the right weight: heavy enough in use keep hang vertically and light enough not to cause arm ache. I would certainly recommend this.

I have quite a large garden with a lot of lawn edges. I have tried using an electric strimmer in the past for the edges but there really is no substitute for using a manual tool.

There is no doubt that these shears come at a price but the handels are solid wood, the action is fantastic and the blades are very sharp.

I really like to support British manufacturers where I can but the truth is that the Germans produce some of the best steel in the world. I take my hat off to them. Great product!
