Purchased the portable induction hob as a temporary measure during kitchen refurb. Arrived promptly and well packaged. Very smart, easy to handle and set up - plug in, switch on. Have always had gas but am moving to electric so this was a good trial run - have found the hob very easy to use, and regulate being very responsive and to clean. Love the slide control as well as the press 'buttons' as I was dreading the press press press action: either method is quick & simple, but the slide action gets you there faster. I hope the permanent hob, which being hardwired should be even better, has a similar function. I'll likely keep this hob in case I need extra 'rings' on odd occasions as its so neat. Would highly recommend.

This portable induction cooktop is well-made with many thoughtful features. The dual hotplates with independent control let me use the hob to prepare two completely different dishes simultaneously. The 20 power and temperature settings are very useful. I’ve been able to sear, simmer, and even slow-cook with perfect control. The digital interface is intuitive, and I love how easy it is to adjust the settings while cooking.

With kids at home, the safety lock is a reassuring touch. Overheat protection and automatic switch-off are further handy features. The ability to set a timer for up to 6 hours has made slow cooking and meal prepping much easier. True to its promise, this cooktop is lightweight and easy to move. I will upload photos from my recent outdoor use of this cooktop.

While both hotplates can be used simultaneously, their combined power is capped. This means if you're running one burner at full 2800W, the other burner can’t be cranked up as high. It’s a manageable limitation but worth noting. Like most induction cooktops, the fan is a bit noisy. Larger pots can feel cramped, especially if you’re using both burners at once.

Overall, the cooktop’s particularly well-suited for small kitchens, RVs, or anyone who wants a secondary cooktop. The added safety features and portability make it family-friendly and practical.

The hob arrived very well packaged and with the added bonus of a food thermometer (untested as yet). It also has a handy instruction manual for both.
The initial impressions of the hob are that it is well made, with a sleek and modern look. It has many different functions - timer, child lock, etc, and the temperatures can be adjusted either by touching the + or - markings on the hob, or by sliding your finger along the bar underneath.
Cooking on the double hob is a breeze, the kettle heats up quicker than our single hob, and the temperature adjustments are easy to do, so long as you don't want to go from 'max' to 'min' - it would have been nice to have that function (saves the constant beeping or sliding).
My main problem is that the hob display does not reflect what power is actually being used - for instance, when the hob is at the 2000 'max' it is actually drawing over 2800w, so a much bigger power draw. The price you pay, I suppose, for quicker cooking...

I am already a convert to induction hobs and have a well-known brand 4-plate induction hob for our everyday cooking. This Cooknano brand was one that I haven’t come across before but wanted to give it a go as we often need more cooking space when entertaining family, especially at Christmas. We also go camping and have always used the gas bottle stoves before now. We often stay on a campsite for at least a week, often 2 weeks to fully explore an area and typically opt for the electric hook-up pitch so that we can plug in phone chargers, lights etc. The main reason for ordering this double plate induction hob is for our camping trips.

The hob comes very well packaged in a solid outer box which protects a less sold product branded box. Inside the box are the typical polystyrene end pieces and braces to both protect and secure the product. Inside the box you get: a twin plate induction hob, an instruction manual, and a probe thermometer. I’m not sure I will be using the thermometer as I don’t intend cooking such items as large pieces of meat. The hob seems to be very well made and certainly has a solid feel to it. The surface is smooth with no sharp edges and looks very easy to clean having no raised or recessed areas.

The controls are all touch sensitive and allow for adjustment to the temperature of each plate up to a joint maximum of 2.8kw. On max, an individual plate can go to 2kw so it would not be possible to have both on max at the same time although I don’t see this as a major issue given the power restrictions on most campsite hook-ups anyway. There is also a child lock which could prove useful plus some other useful safety features such as overheating cut-out. If there is a downside, it’s the weight. Weight is always a consideration when camping as is space, and this item does take up more space than the little gas stoves we have used in the past. Overall, I am pleased with this item so far and expect it to last for a number of years to come.
