I used one of these cables to connect my RX 580 8GB Graphics card. I had to connect two Molex to one 6 pin PCI-e, which in turn is connected to the 8 pin lead that goes into the gfx card.
Working well so far, I have a 500w PSU.
Temps after some heavy gaming are 48c on the GPU. Goes down to 28c idle.
Easy to connect, just make sure the pins are straight.
