This little umbrella works a treat. Mine arrived 10 minutes before I left to video a football game and of course, it rained! It is big enough to cover my DSL camera with a larger lens and kept the rain off a treat. Easy to fit in seconds too. I used an extension hot shoe adaptor, as I already have a monitor on the existing one and it all fits nicely.

There have been times when I've wanted to shoot photos outdoors in the rain, and it has always been a struggle to try to keep the camera dry while shooting. I've tried holding a camera while shooting, but that doesn't work well. This little umbrella mounts quickly and easily to the hot shoe of my camera, so that it is held securely in place above my camera, leaving my hands free to shoot my photos. It can also provide shade so that I can better review my shots on the display screen on the back of the camera, which can be hard to do in direct sunlight.
This help keep the rain off my camera but over time the screw ball wouldn't hold up to the wind and would slip a little bit but very good for the money
4.0 out of 5 starsSmaller than expected, helps. Better than nothing. Ste. Does not extent very far.

Some of the promo photos make it look much larger than it is. I looked back at them after I got it and realized they used one at wide angle to make it look larger and another with a small child next to it so it looks bigger too there. It does the job to keep the sun off your head, but if you have a long telephoto lens it might be too small to keep the sun out of the lens and off you at the same time... It's also very thin hotshoe holder and stem, so on a windy day I don't know how well it will stay in position. But I guess the small size means the wind won't affect it as much compared if it was largr.. its tiny and looks like a toy umbrella and does not look very pro. But it will help out when needed compared to getting under a black blanket to see the screen on a sunny backlit day. I also wish the stem telephoto more and could go higher when needed. It's just short. Luckily I'm not too tall so it works for me.
