Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on ÍøÆغÚÁÏ. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This vinyl pressing is good, no pops or crackles and the sound quality is good throughout. One or two reviewers have said there’s a big volume difference between the first track and the rest. This is because the first one is a processional carol, so the choir is walking up the aisle as they sing so the sound volume builds as they get closer to the altar. By the time the carol finishes the volume is consistent with the rest of the album. It’s a nice selection, well performed on a good clean vinyl pressing. Perfect for Christmas.
Purchased as a present for my brother and family. Was played Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Good performances of well-known carols, enjoyed by all. Nice, weighty vinyl - good sound quality. Would recommend.
Such a shame. Was really looking forward to these records. Bought one for myself and one for my Father as a Christmas Gift. The sound quality on mine was so incredibly poor, I had to unwrap my Dad's gift to check the quality. It was just as bad. Kings Collège Cambridge is phenomenal. Unfortunately the quality of the vinyl is incredibly poor. Continuous background noise as well as constant skipping and popping. Poor manufacturing of the vinyl.
This recording is a timeless reminder of the Christmas carols I listened to as a young man growing up in the UK. The record provides good acoustic range and the choir is as powerful as ever. A classic in my opinion.
