Bought this to fit to my £50 Energer pillar drill from screwfix - good match as the bolt holes line up fine with the drill table. Have only used it to test drill some holes in 90 degree alloy but it clamps the parts solidly. Most clarke stuff is rebranded generic chinese stuff anyway but good value for money...possibly the threaded winding rod would benefit from some extra grease but easy to DIY. Perfectly servicable and winds in/out smoothly as is though.

The overall quality is a bit rough around the edges but this can be overlooked when you consider its purpose and price.

As a drill press vice, it is absolutely perfect.

I would probably recommend using a pair of soft vice jaws or simply place a couple of pieces of wood over the jaws as they are a little sharp. Alternatively these could just be filed.

I have added a photo showing the measurements others would probably be looking for ;)

In conclusion, the vice does exactly what it is meant to well. Yes the quality is a bit rough but it's £17.99, people!
