Vibrant and Extraordinary!
This is a fantastic movie and features some incredible 3D scenes and therefore the 3D version is a must buy. It is very dissapointing to find that this Blu-Ray is not yet set to be released in other countries outside of europe in 3D and is detrimental to the world of 3D. It contributes to the diminishing manufacturing of 3D TVs and the improving of the technology. I for one do not want to see 3D die. I am a UK reviewer but this affects us all.Luckily for the US and all others with a shroud around the 3D release; غ UK do ship abroad. There is also a 4K version of Coco set to be released a lttle down the line in the US; Unforunately the UK has been left out of this release which is not ideal but all 4K discs are region free and can be imported if need be. I would love to experience this movie and all of the colours in HDR some day.Enjoy the movie! And try not to cry.. too much.Check my other reviews to know I leave genuine and honest feedback.

Well, haven't Disney pulled a rabbit out of the hat. "Dear Disney, We'd like to make a cartoon about death, loss and other poignant stuff. Also, that dead people can die even more. Mexicans will play the lead roles, in fact all the roles. There are no blue eyed blondes and our target audience is children and adults". Brave, but they've created an instant classic. The best Disney film to date.

It's visually stunning. This is no cartoon but a benchmark in animated films. The attention to detail is remarkable - when these characters play the guitar they are plucking all the right strings. Disney/Pixar achieved this by placing sensors on real guitarists hands and fingers, and translated their real playing into this film. It's amazing to watch and listen and know both are real, yet in a world of fantasy. It's a brilliant.

The visual gags of eyes popping out and jaws dropping adds a lighthearted theme throughout.

I laughed (it's not a comedy, but it is funny). I cried (it's not a tear jerker, but it does make you emotional). I loved the 3D (it doesn't strain the eyes). I enjoyed the music (it's not an annoying opera with cartoon characters). In fact some of the singing is naturally unpolished just as any amateur would be - a welcome respite from the all too perfect musicals that precede Coco. It was just the right amount of everything, without being average. Far from it.

We have this notion that passing away is a dark somber moment. In Coco it's a Marigold orange petal laden bridge to a world of vibrant colours where the fun continues, rejoice in having lived, and living some more. It doesn't belittle the sadness of losing a loved one but what it does is show you that the story doesn't end there. This story is very much that story.

Remembering and memories are a big part of the plot. As the film concludes there is an emotional scene helping those who have failing memories. Poignant real life stuff set in a medium I wouldn't have thought capable of tackling such topics. You know when people smile with joy and cry at the same time? I did that. A few times actually.

Curl up on the sofa with some popcorn and enjoy the vibrant dialog and visuals, the many humorous moments, the uplifting Mexican music, but have a tissue at hand for when those moments of empathy strike home and a little tear rolls down your cheek. An emotional roller-coaster that when the ride is over you feel good about this world, and the next.

What a beautiful and emotional film! I have to admit that while I agree Pixar films tend to be brilliant, their last few outings have left me a tad underwhelmed (except The Good Dinosaur which was just a bad film IMO). I was pleasantly surprised by this, the story is something that will really resonate with people, and one that I think will melt even the coldest of hearts. The visuals are obviously fantastic, full of vibrant colours and wonderful production design. For me the soundtrack is where the film shines (I purchased the soundtrack after seeing the film) I've lost count of how many times I've listened to "La Llorona". My grandmother passed away not long before I watched this and I found this film emotional yes, but I also found it helped me come to terms with her loss. This is a really wonderful film, that is full of culture, thrills and highly emotional moments. Highly recommend it!

Very well received by the kids. Very beautifully made, excellent story line.
If you look a bit beyond the compulsory message about family values, creativity and tradition there is actually an hart-warming in-depth story. All presented on a catchy score from the Frozen music producers.
    Brilliant tribute to Mexico.

    Get some tissues ready..

When possible we buy the 3D version and this one looked fantastic on our reasonably high-end OLED screen with proper surround sound.

This is one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Everything is terrific - the story line and visuals are among the best of the best. Originally saw it in 2D, but wanted the 3D version. The 3D version is far superior to the 2D version. This is state of the art 3D. Treat yourself and get it.

I can't say much about this film people haven't said allready. But as someone who somtimes do a bit of illustrating and love animation, cartoons and so on this entire movie is an artwork. It is so beautiful to look at! The story is sweet, funny, moving and the music is lovely. What a treat! You deserve this movie, I promise!

The movie was very enjoyable and I am glad I purchased it. I have nothing but good things to say about the movie.

On the down side, the new movie purchase from غ did not have the slip cover. This happens on a regular basis, very frustrating.

A lovely film that has it all. A heartwarming story tinged with sadness and lots of lovable characters. Plenty of laugh out moments along with sensitivity when dealing with more serious subjects. The artwork is vibrant and so beautifully done as was the story.
