I bought this to form part of soil mixed for my plants.

It works well - easy to use, and is a really good size, good value for money considering the price and the amount of plants I managed to pot using it. It’s a fine mill rather than being full of coco husk which is good for retaining water and adding in the place of soil, which I think helps with plant growth.

The only thing is that there is a lot, so it did just sit there for a while. This was fine but I did check the smell and colour each time I used it, to ensure it hadn’t lost quality.

Overall, this potting mix is good, and my plants seem happy. Photo is of my ficus, which hadn't grown much in the last 2 years and had not produced any new leaves. I repotted with this mix and in around 2 months, it's put out two new leaves!

However, I think the instructions given on the package are wrong. I received 2 bags in one cardboard sleeve. Both bags had instructions printed on them: open bag, add 3 litres of warm water, stir and wait. I followed these instructions for the first bag. There was way too much water! I waited a day to see if more water would be absorbed, but then had to sieve the excess water out to use the potting mix.

For the second bag, I tried adding half the amount of water stated. It worked perfectly! So I think the instructions on the packaging are wrong, it probably should say 1.5 litres per bag.

Other than that issue, I like it! It expands quickly and I like the space saving element. I will buy again when I need more potting mix.

I wish there was a way to use half or quarter of the brick easily because using the whole thing makes a lot of compost. Really easy to make, just follow the instructions. I found I needed to add just a bit of extra water afterwards for some remaining dry clumps, nothing my kids couldn't do if u wasn't helping them. I had to store half of it u a bucket in the shed and even then so far no sign of any bugs. Holds moisture well and also drains well. Excellent value for the quality and price. I used it to mix with various other elements for my different plants like philodendron and calathea. Both plants look so happy and are thriving. They're growing new leaves even in September! My calathea triostar is quite beautiful anyway but since I used this compost, the leaves are so shiny and guests have complimented it even asking if it's fake because the leaves are so healthy and glossy now! Would highly recommend!

Bought this to replace compost in all house plants as I was having issues with flies.

Soaking to make compost was easy, it contained a bag that you fill with water, needed to be put in a bucket or bowl as there were drainage holes in the bag. Replaced all compost and no more flies.

Durch Hinzugabe von 3l Wasser quillt das Brikett auf und man erhält dann 9l Erde, die mit Dünger versetzt ist, womit eine Pflanze 3 Monate mit Nähstoffe versorgt werden soll. Das Brikett wird in einer Plastiktüte geliefert, die groß und stabil genug ist, dass sie auch die 9l Erde beinhalten kann. So kann man die Erde direkt in der Verpackung zubereiten. Ich habe dennoch einen Eimer verwendet, weil ich die Entnahme der Erde da einfache finde. Um den Brikett mit der Tüte befindet sich eine Banderole aus Pappe auf die die Anleitung gedruckt ist. Jegliche Beschriftung ist allerdings auf englisch, aber die Anleitung ist immerhin bebildert, so dass man sie auch ohne Englischkenntnisse verstehen sollte.
Schon bei dem trockenen Brikett sieht man, dass die Erde mit blauen Kugeln versetzt ist, wobei es sich um den Dünger handelt. Wenn man das Brikett mit Wasser versetzt quillt es innerhalb von wenigen Minuten auf. Ich habe noch etwas zusätzliches Wasser hinzugegeben, weil die oberste Schicht noch etwas trocken und fest blieb. Das Ergebnis ist eine sehr lockere und ziemlich saubere Erde, die sich gut verarbeiten lässt. Natürlich holt man sich auch keinerlei Ungeziefer mit dieser Erde ins Haus. Die Erde wird als Block gepresst in einem ausfaltbaren Plastiksack mit Pappbanderole geliefert. Auf der Banderole befindet sich auch die Hinweise zur Nutzung.

Die Erde kann im mitgelieferten Sack quellen oder in Teilen entnommen werden. Ich habe sie in Teilen entnommen, da ich nur ein paar kleine Pflanzen umtopfen wollte. Das Substrat macht einen guten Eindruck; keine Fremdmaterialien und vorgedüngt ist es auch, was bei Kokossubstrat ganz gut ist, da recht nährstoffarm. Praktisch an der trockenen Form ist, dass keine Trauermücken und andere Insekten eingeschleppt werden. Das ist bei normaler Erde leider häufig der Fall. Das entnommene Substrat habe ich mit lauwarmen Wasser eingeweicht und danach mit den Händen etwas ausgequetscht, da ich ein wenig zu viel Wasser genommen hatte. Das hat einwandfrei geklappt.

Fazit: Praktische Idee! Meine Pflanzen wachsen nun seit zwei Wochen problemlos in dem Substrat und ich kann es somit bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Relativ teuer, aber sein Geld wert.

Die Erde kann im mitgelieferten Sack quellen oder in Teilen entnommen werden. Ich habe sie in Teilen entnommen, da ich nur ein paar kleine Pflanzen umtopfen wollte. Das Substrat macht einen guten Eindruck; keine Fremdmaterialien und vorgedüngt ist es auch, was bei Kokossubstrat ganz gut ist, da recht nährstoffarm. Praktisch an der trockenen Form ist, dass keine Trauermücken und andere Insekten eingeschleppt werden. Das ist bei normaler Erde leider häufig der Fall. Das entnommene Substrat habe ich mit lauwarmen Wasser eingeweicht und danach mit den Händen etwas ausgequetscht, da ich ein wenig zu viel Wasser genommen hatte. Das hat einwandfrei geklappt.

Fazit: Praktische Idee! Meine Pflanzen wachsen nun seit zwei Wochen problemlos in dem Substrat und ich kann es somit bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Relativ teuer, aber sein Geld wert.

Der Trocken Brikett an Blumenerde aus Kokos & Kokosfaser funktioniert einwandfrei, wir haben damit einige Pflanzen bei denen die Erde Trauermücken hatten ausgetauscht.

Das ist auch schon ein riesiger Vorteil bei der Art von Blumenerde, in der Regel kauft man sich keine Schädlinge mit. Wir haben die Erde zudem noch mit kochendem Wasser aufgegossen, das quillt dann deutlich schneller und tötet auf jeden Fall etwaige Tiere ab.

Die Erde besteht größtenteils aus Fasern, das ganze ist super für die Wurzeln aber eben auch recht nährstoffarm weshalb man es regelmäßig düngen sollte. Hier ist positiverweise schon vor gedüngt worden, man sieht in den Fasern die kleinen Dünger Kugeln herumliegen.

Ansonsten ist das ganze natürlich sehr kompakt, gut ein lagerbar und lässt sich wie man auf den Bildern sieht sehr einfach abbrechen und Topfweise portionieren.

Insgesamt ein rundes, praktisches Produkt das man gut weiterempfehlen kann. Vom in den Baumarkt fahren und Erde Säcke schleppen, was man sich damit sparen kann mal ganz abgesehen.
