The Concept2 SkiErg makes the sport of Nordic skiing available to everyone. Long recognized as delivering one of the toughest workouts around, Nordic skiing develops both strength and endurance and exercises the legs as well as the arms and core. The SkiErg can be used for both double pole and classic alternating arm technique.

The SkiErg uses the same flywheel resistance and electronic monitoring systems as our indoor rower, the proven choice of rowing athletes around the world since 1981, so you can rest assured that the machine is made to last. As well as being durable and well built, the SkiErg is sophisticated too, with an advanced monitor that provides immediate, accurate performance data.

Performance Monitor

The sophisticated monitor is what sets the Concept2 SkiErg apart from other cross-country training devices. It provides accurate, comparable data each time.

Free Standing or Wall Mounted

The SkiErg can be either mounted on a wall or used with a floor stand (available separately). Wall mounting provides the most compact option, while the floor stand provides an all-in-one solution that makes the SkiErg mobile.

Flywheel and Damper

The SkiErg responds to your effort on every stroke, so you are in full control of your exertion and resistance at all times. The spiral damper allows you to easily change the resistance, so you can change the feel of the stroke to suit your preference.

Ergonomic Strapless Handles

The SkiErg’s ergonomic, strapless handles provide for a comfortable, secure grip and won’t absorb sweat so they stay dry in high use settings. They are also suitable for all hand sizes as they require no adjustment.

Awesome! We already owned a Concept2 Ergorower and with the new Ski Erg, the two compliment each other providing complete body CV. The Ski Erg is now an absolute favorite with the whole family; we ditched our AirDyne D2 bike in favor of the Ski Erg and it proved to be the best decision in (apartment) home gym equipment we ever made - including their Ergorower. Even with the floor stand this great piece of equipment takes up no room at all. If you have room for just one piece of home CV equipment then this is it without a doubt - especially as it provides non-impact exercise stood up. This is really good. I admit that when unpacking I did feel slightly underwhelmed, but that soon passed.

Build quality is very good. I had to slightly adjust the mesh guard on the fan enclosure but took only a minute. This has to be removed when maintaining the erg so really was not a problem.

It enables a truly full body work out. The functionality of the performance monitor is extensive. With the unique fly wheel the intensity of the work out depends on the effort you put in which is so different to anything else I've used.

Other that skiing there are so many different moves that can be pulled. Even better it takes up virtually no room at all when wall mounted.

20 mins on this and you'll know you've put some work in. If you only buy one piece of gym equipment then this should be near the top of the list.

Wow is the first thing I can say about this machine. I've owned a Concept 2 rowing erg for close to 4 years now and it is a fantastic piece of equipment. I've wanted the SkiErg for a couple of years now and kept delaying pulling the trigger on ordering.

I'm regretting that decision 1000%. This machine is absolutely amazing. The workout is tremendous and the perfect compliment to the rower. I would suggest viewing form videos either on Concept 2's site as it does take a bit to get used to the motion for someone that has never skied so as myself.

I bought the base as well as the unit itself and found videos on installation and it was seamless and very easy. If you have a second person for a couple of steps it would be beneficial but not required. I did it myself with no help and took about 35 minutes or so. The videos are very clear step by step.

In the machine being more vertical it honestly doesn't have that big of a footprint as far as storage other than of course needing to have the clearance for the height but honestly it's not even as tall as my rower when standing upright.

The workout is fantastic as with the rower you can set your damper setting, stick with around 3-5 starting out and really watch your form and you will feel it. There are different ways of people doing it with the butterfly type motion which is popular in crossfit or essentially squatting more in the end portion which isn't the greatest form per videos but as a change of pace will really fry your legs.

I honestly love this thing and so glad that I got it, cannot recommend enough.

The skierg is a fantastic training tool. It is very low impact on the joints and you can really get your motor going. Be sure to watch the technique videos on the concept2 website as they are very helpful to ensure safe erging. I find that interval work is fantastic and it is very easy to get my heart rate up without the body hurting after a training session. I highly recommend you visit the concept 2 website and subscribe to the skierg WOD. They offer 3 different workouts every day for short, medium and long distance training.
