This item is ideal for powering and array of different devices from the lighter socket in the car or van.
It is particularly helpful when traveling as the only option for powering up devices is from a lighter socket but the downside is that from that socket only comes out 12V of power which drastically limits what can be powered from there. This device plugs into that lighter socket and convert the 12V to AC which is the type of current you would normally need for powering up ordinary devices.
I was able to charge my laptop, my phone and a powerbank all at the same time.
The converter also has an edited display of the live power input which is very helpful as this way it can be observed and action upon in case it is over exploited.
It is of good quality and the cable is of decent length.
This is a very helpful unit which makes traveling so much more bearable and convenient.

This inverter is great for charging devices like phones and laptops in your car, using the 12V cigarette lighter socket. It features two UK plug sockets and four USB-A ports, which is very handy for keeping multiple devices powered up during long drives, business trips, or camping. The unit itself is compact and portable, making it easy to store and use wherever there’s a 12V socket available.

The inverter is well-built, with shutters on the AC sockets for safety, and the additional cooling fan helps to manage heat. The YIDIADIA 200w power inverter is a compact 12v DC to 230v AC inverter. For those who don't what is does is that it allows 230v household equipment up to 200w to be used in a car, van or camper. As long as the appliance or device intended for use does not exceed 200w of power draw.
I am by no means an expert but research has also taught me that sine waves affect appliance performance. There are two types of electricity sine waves, pure and modified. Some appliances or electronic equipment can be sensitive to the electrical sine waves and may require pure sine waves to function properly or without interference. The YIDIADIA inverter specs state it has modified sine waves NOT pure so some items may not function perfectly.

The overall construction of the inverter is quite good and will be fit for purpose, it has two uk 3 pin plug sockets so two appliances/devices can be powered at the same time as long as together they do not require or draw more than 200w.
There are four USB C sockets and fast charging is available, remember that the total combined wattage of all connected devices must not exceed 200w.
In trying out the inverter I found that the display gave a clear reading of the DC input voltage and it happily charged my old laptop, whilst the USB C ports worked as intended, offering the convenience of running four devices.
As a test I decided to try out the inverter with a 40w desktop fan. Initially the fan worked, then momentarily cut out and re started. This time I thought I could hear radio interference by way of a buzzing noise, I quickly realised that this was a sizzling noise and the fan was starting to emit an electrical burning smell. I immediately shut everything down. The fan is now dead and useless.
This has left me in doubt about connecting the inverter to further devices. I cannot say with 100% confidence whether the inverter caused the failure or if the fan was faulty, but the fan is less than 12 months old and only used a handful of times for short periods. This has left me with a middle of the road Star rating and an inverter paper weight as I won't risk other equipment.
