This toolbox organiser is solid and feels very durable. It has plenty of space for all my tools. It is much heavier than expected. It is quite heavy with only half-loaded. So, it would be hard to carry up and down when fully loaded. The hinges are very tight so it needs a bit of force to open the lid. It is priced at £24.99 at the time of review, which I think is reasonable considering the build quality. Overall, it is a good quality toolbox with room for improvement.

this is a decently built and solid tool box, the construction is out of materials of decent thickness and it's well finished so looks good.

the cantilever trays on top open and close just fine but it's not as smooth or steady as I would prefer, they have a tendency to wobble and not open straight so it requires a little attention rather than just open and close absentmindedly.

It's a minor nit-pick as it's an otherwise spacious and useful organiser but it just lacks that real quality feeling you might get from some of the more industry leading manufacturers. but that said you'd not paying those prices here so it's a tradeoff you have to decide is worth it for you,

all that said it now holds all of my plumbing equipment so i can easily grab then when i have to tackle any pipe related projects in the house without searching high and low for the right tools and I'm very happy with it.

The 'Crystals Tool Box Organiser - 3 Level Metal with 5 Trays - Cantilever, Red/Black' arrived in a branded box.

This is a nice looking cantilever tool box and reminds me of blue one I had many years back.

The base of the toolbox appears to be spot welded at the ends which may prove to be a weak point in the long run, the hinges are still stiff and the trays fold out reasonably level, though I would expect that to change as wear sets in.

Overall everything about this toolbox is good except for one issue and the reason for a 1 star rating, which I suspect is a manufacturing issue with the lids.

When looking at the end of the box the right hand lid is higher and on measuring the distance from top to the bottom of the rivet it measures 34mm. The same measurement on the left side is just 31mm. After turning the box around I measured the same locations again and on the right I again recorded 34mm and on the left again 31mm.

It would seem that when the lid is being formed it is not even about the centre, which can also be seen in the pictures as the parallel section of the flaps in the end view are of different height, I have marked up an end view with yellow boxes to show the affected areas.

This may not immediately seem an issue except it means the flap on the right from either end is only level with the top of the compartment, no overlap as on the left sides.

If the issue with the two lids were resolved I would be happy to rate this toolbox as 5 stars.

I do really like the fold out design where you can see everything in the box at once.

The metal is thick and the entire build quality is high.

The fold out mechanism works well and is easy to actuate pulling on the handles.

Has a little
Hole in the top where you can padlock the box shut to keep people, or small children out of it.

I will be using it for storing tools dedicated to one task and put it with all the other boxes I have like it.

Would be a great toolbox for a new home owner to fill with basic tools. Should last for many years!

At £25 for a metal toolbox I don't have high expectations.

This one is OK, although I did find it a little stiff to open and close. This improved slightly after spraying the moving bits with WD40 but still less than ideal. Hoping with use it gets easier.

It's lacking some finesse - some of the edges/corners aren't quite finished properly and there's a slight misalignment of the two lids, but it's not that bad for the price. I have a similar one from a well-known DIY shed that cost more than double and it's not that much better.

So overall this is reasonable value for money.
