    I was still at school when the monkees came on the scene ( yes I'm that old ) you couldn't really escape them they were on the radio and TV and music press and were laughingly compared to the Beatles at the time I've allways liked the classic hits so I thought why not get this cd it has all the hits of course plus some lesser known tracks some reviewers are saying the sound quality is poor well it sounds fine to me. So go on hop on that last train to clarksville with the boys.

    I remember watching the reruns of the monkeys tv show in the early 70s Its great to hear the songs again nice summery pop with a touch of psychedelia. Only downside was the cd case looked like it had been on the wrong end of a nuclear blast totally obliterated but the cd was fine so can't complain that much I guess.
