It's always good to keep these in your home medicine kit in case of incidents of loose stools (diarrhoea). This is simply a generic version of the branded drug Imodium and works just as well for a fraction of the price. You should take 2 tablets and then a further tablet if necessary (and so on). Assume each pack (6 tablets) will deal with one case of acute diarrhoea (although you may need less) and you have 8 doses. In reaity you're likely to get double that because you rarely need to take 6 tablets. You are advised to only take sufficient to slow down the bowel movement, so you may need as few as 2 tablets but unlikely to need more than 6 to do that.

Useful for IBS sufferers who have to pay for prescriptions as these are a fraction of the cost of a prescription. For anyone that has suffered with bowel cancer it's useful to have a pack in your bag in case something upsets your rhythm, in which case these will stop any diarrhoea fast.

You want to be buying these at around £5 for 48. If the price is significantly more than that, go get them from the supermarket or try another generic brand of Loperamide.

Cons: comes in separate boxes of 6 which means a lot of cardboard waste to throw out. Would prefer one cardboard box with 48 inside which would also cut the carbon footprint.
