I recently purchased a Sony RX100 vii and wanted plenty of spare batteries. I ended up buying two of these charger/battery sets.

The batteries are certainly comparable to the original Sony one. After a full discharge/charge cycle they work much better and I had to check it was the 3rd party and not Sony one, it was doing so well.

The charger is pretty quick and has a clear display of the charge status of each battery. Batteries fit the camera perfectly too, so at under £20 it's incredible value.

One note is that one of the chargers arrived with a USB-C port and lead, the other with micro-USB port and lead. I'm actually quite happy about this, as I've loads of USB-C leads to charge it from, but for some strange reason the Sony has a micro-USB charging port in the camera, so the other charger better suits that.

These are bargain price batteries for use in Sony camera, perform just as well as the Sony-branded - if not better with their higher mAh rating, yet cost a fraction of the price.

It is too early to say whether they will enjoy the same longevity as our Sony original which have lasted nearly 10 years but are now failing to hold their charge. However, even if they last only a few years they offer greater value for money making them a good purchase.

The dual charger also works well charging two batteries together simultaneously via USB making the charger ideal for travel and use away from a mains power supply and batteries can be recharged via a powerbank or while driving, which is how we're using the charger.

We wouldn't hesitate to buy either the batteries or charger again and highly recommend both.

Had to wait until I got to Southampton before collecting these batteries from my son’s house. Can’t understand why the camera with a battery can be sent to Northern Ireland but batteries can’t. Used them on a 14 day Mediterranean cruise and they were excellent. Much much cheaper than the Sony originals and last much longer. The camera had no problem in recognising them. Come in cassettes so safe to carry in a pocket or camera bag. Excellent.
