I bought these for my CX625 camcorders. Physically they fit the camera perfectly. Before testing with the cameras I fully charged both of the supplied batteries with the charger. Both report being fully charged on the charger's display, however when I tried to use them, one of them displays "battery low, please exchange battery" on the camera screen and immediately switches off. I have tried the battery on two separate cameras and it is the same on both. They would be good value for money if both batteries worked, the battery run time displayed by the camera for the working one was nearly 7 hours, which is a good improvement over the standard FP50 batteries. However poor quality control means I cannot recommend this listing.

You always need more batteries and this package, including a charger is great value. The FDR-AX700 doesn't come with a separate charger, so you really do need one. I'd have preferred a mains powered one, for charging speed as much as anything, but this will do at a pinch.

The charging cable supplied is very poorly made. The fit of the plug which goes into the charger is very tight indeed.. To insert it fully into the charger socket requires some force and will almost certainly break the socket off inside the charger rendering it useless. Use a better quality usb cable to avoid this happening.
