The survival rations are triple packed (tough card box, airtight foil, then clear plastic) and then 18 square biscuits packed in 2's in greaseproof paper. They taste like a fine unsweetened shortbread biscuit and each box is designed to provide 2500 calories, so I make that 138 cal per biscuit, or thereabouts.
The 500mL water, in a tough alu plastic pouch, is divided into 10 x 50 mL sachets that you tear open at the corner to drink.
