Perfect Plant Feed

Organic Chicken Manure pellets are slow release and are highly concentrated. The dry pellets are easy to handle and use plus they’re rich in organic matter and nutrients essential for healthy growth. Poultry manure is a useful source of nitrogen, the main nutrient that plants need for green leafy growth. It also contains smaller amounts of other vital nutrients. It helps enrich the soil and maintain the soils delicate balance.

Application rates:

  • General digging, feeding & soil conditioning – 130-200g/sqm.
  • Lawn – 70-100g/sqm. Brush in well and water, continue treatment sparingly throughout the year.
  • Seed Trays & Pots – One part manure to 25 parts Peat or Loam mixed well in will help roots systems achieve advanced growth, health and stability.
  • Flowers, Vegetables & Soft Fruit – Two or three handfuls 135-210g/sqm when planting and a good handful as a top dressing when required. Avoid direct, undiluted contact with tender, young plants – scatter pellets about 50 to 80mm away and work into surface of the soil. Repeat at 2 to 3 week intervals for heavy feeders such as tomatoes and beans.
  • Clay Breaking & Soil Conditioning – 130-200g/sq.m. Apply in Autumn to help heavy clay.
  • Transplanting – 140-170g/sqm. Add to soil 2 weeks prior to transplanting, making sure the soil is ready for nutrient uptake and aiding growth after moving.
  • Composting – 200g/sqm. Spread the recommended amount between layers of organic material to provide a nutrient rich compost.
  • Roses – Two or three handfuls 135-210g/sqm to each rose bush when planting, one or two handfuls for established bushes when the buds begin to swell and again before the second flush of blooms.
  • Seed Sowing – 35g/sqm. Prepare seed bed and sprinkle. Rake well in and once seeds are established another application can be added as needed.
  • Potted Plants, Baskets & Window Boxes – Mix with compost at a rate of 2 teaspoons per 10cm (height) of Pot. Water in well. Once established feed occasionally as normal.
  • Liquid Feed – Soaking a punctured bag full of Chicken Manure in water will make a liquid feed which is ideal for greenhouse plants and for treating a larger area than using the dry pellets. Any remaining slop can be used for spreading on soil as a mulch.

Application rates supplied are general guidelines only. For newly planted and/or delicate plants, the lower rate is advised until well established. Responsibility for soil/environmental conditions, individual mixes and results is that of the end user.
