    This collection portrays my childhood, my family traveled Europe, why the hell did it end up in Brazil, the fault of my grandmother who wanted to settle in the city of São Paulo, I was afraid of the streets and we listened to Bob's old records My brother's Dylan who brought his luggage in the middle of his clothes, I remember the difficulties of establishing a new language, it was difficult but today at the age of 52 I shower my memories with these songs

    LIKE A ROLLING STONES, remembers people leaving the country I was born and coming to different countries where we live, today we live in Brazil for 42 years, I was 10 years old and it was a huge difficulty for me, getting used to a new world, different people who didn't understand that they spoke, today I laugh out loud at the wrong words that I said
    this song marked my new life, in a country far from everything, isolated from europe, dominated by portuguese and spanish

    Great pressing Great sound, Knocking on Heavens Door on side B last track has been shortened, so has Suberteranian Homesick blues Last Track on Side A, that annoys me when they do that, I rather they omit a track
    Then Fade them out because they are running out of space, Just listening to the 2nd Record let's hope the last tracks on each side are Complete and No gate fold cover 2 records shoved in one single cover. Otherwise a Good Value 2016 reissue. The original was released in 2000

    My favourite "Best of Bob" compilation - because it contains both "Positively 4th Street" AND "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window" But a decent, reasonably priced, overview of Dylan's career up to the date of issue. However, one should hear the original albums - especially "Bringing it All Back Home", "Highway 61 Revisited", "Blonde on Blonde" and "Blood on the Tracks" in their entirety to better understand just what makes him unique. But this 2 disc set [the 2001 issue of "Essential" because it contains more of the indispensable mid Sixties material than current 2014 issue] is my most-played Dylan set when I need a "Bob fix". My only regret is that all-time favourite Bob song "Visions of Johanna" is not included - but remains available on the original Blonde on Blonde, and also, in various stages of its development, on various "The Bootleg Years" issues which cover that period in greater depth..
