I bought this to allow me to connect my 'phone to the OEM stereo system in my wife's 2010 VW Beetle convertible in order to play music only. This it seems to do without any problems.
The product writeup states it is ONLY a receiver but the block diagram in one of the images on the ad, plus the instructions, and the fact that there is a switch on it marked TX and RX imply otherwise. The TX function does not work however, so forget that - just keep it switched to RX.
The device is supplied with a double ended 3.5mm adapter. The ad suggests that it is also possible to connect to RCA (phono) jacks, but you'll need a different adapter or lead for that, plus a USB outlet if you want to keep it charged on the move.

This product started off very hopeful. It was easy to charge and had options to act as either a receiver or transmitter Bluetooth device.

I only tested it for in car use as a receiver from my phone and it worked perfectly for around three weeks without any issues. However after those three weeks it has completely stopped charging, it won’t even work when constantly plugged in, it has completely died. This is incredibly disappointing given the short timeframe.

One other issue is that when you pull out the aux metal part from anything, if you hold the body of the device (as you would expect to be able to) the glue on the metal aux gives way and exposes the wires inside of the metal cylinder.

All in all a very bad quality device given that the last time I purchased a Bluetooth device like this off ��غ�� it has lasted for a good three or four years and it’s still going.

I have bought 2 of these now as they are so versatile. The unit connects to bluetooth easily and can convert anything to wireless. I have used these in the bedroom to add speaker connectivity to a TV using standard non-bluetooth speakers.
