Felco Grafting and Pruning Knive

Felco pruning knives feature blades that are crafted from high quality hardened steel. This enhanced durability increases the overall longevity of the blade.

This knife is designed for crown grafting or propagating cuttings. It can also be used to saw stems and twigs off of branches.

Our right-handed grafting and pruning knife features a single bevel blade. The single bevel blade allows the user to make straight and controlled cuts.

This knife features a simple and sturdy design consisting of a handle that is made of red nylon scales with a standard alloy lining. This is a folding slipjoint knife with a very strong back spring.

Have used it several times for taking cuttings, and bit of light pruning, and of course the countless other odd jobs around the house and garden.

Very light. Made from corrosion resistant materials, plastic scales, alloy liners, brass pinnings and stainless steel blade and backspring so ideal for garden/outdoor use.

I prefer the less threatening style of the sheepsfoot blade which incidentally arrived very sharp. A side issue there is that the handle needs to be about 1cm longer than it would with a pointed blade resulting in a strange looking gap.

I can't give 5 stars to a horticultural knife without a lanyard facility for hanging up. I knew this didn't have one as standard but I know that I can modify it to my satisfaction.

For the avoidance of doubt the picture shows black, the description states red. Red was supplied. Would quite like one of each.

Just noticed the blade is chisel ground. I'll leave that as a matter of fact rather than spinning any personal preference.

Let down by poor construction mine has a big gap on the spine by the pivot and blade has too much side to side play. I assume due to the aluminium liners or just cheap manufacturing. The £25 with shipping for this is too much money. Would rather have spent an extra tenner and got something up to the usual Victorinox standard with steel liners and better build quality. But overall fine for light tasks. Worth it if you can get it cheap!
