Versatile and just as suited for the garden as it is the caravan or campsite, this unique high quality gas barbecue can be used as a trolley barbecue or as a table-top unit. The grill is fitted to a folding trolley / stand supporting it at a comfortable working height; the stand folds down to become a trolley for easy transportation. The grill unit itself can be detached from the stand, and has short folding legs enabling its use as a table-top barbecue.

I ordered this to take on our first caravan break since lockdown. We have a small charcoal bbq but it's a faff messing around with briquettes, and having to either douse it out when we've done or wait several hours for it to cool. We have a gas point on the van, so plugging a bbq straight into that seems an easier way to go.
This doesn't come with a hose, so the quick connect gas pipe was a separate purchase.
The bbq itself ticked all the right boxes in that it was on its own trolley, it folded down for transport, and it is light at around 10kg.
The weight saving has to be made somewhere, and the compromise in in the quality of materials used. The base and lid are thin pressed steel. So thin, in fact, that the damaged side of the base ( the lip that the grill rack sits on) which was bent and kinked when I unpacked it was easily straightened without tools just using my fingers. The damage would probably have been present before it was boxed as the packaging was undamaged and the parts are seperated by thick cardboard.
So, having pulled the dent out, I set to assembling it. The instructions aren't very clear about fitting some if the parts, but with a little trial and error it went together OK.
The black finish to the lid scuffs very easily and picked up a good few mark just from moving around on the packing cardboard whilst being assembled.
Be aware, nothing other than the gas burner and piezo electrode are fixed in place, every single part has to be assembled and the burner screw has to be removed on order to fit the flame guard supports. That isn't very clear on the instructions.
The flame guard which sits over the burner seems to be painted rather than stove enameled. This also scratched very easily, and I'm not sure how well the paint finish will hold up to either the direct flame below or scrubbing off the inevitable dripped fat that it will collect.
The gas valve is from a world of its own. A cheap brass fitting of function with no aesthetic form, it was never designed as an item to be looked at. In my opinion, it spoils the entire look of the bbq and gives the impression of a makeshift repair for a broken or missing part with something you found in the back of your garage. It also spins freely on its spigot. The instructions warn that this is in fact a design feature but I honestly don't know how or why it doesn't leak around the fitting.
Functionally, it seems OK having plugged it into the caravan to make sure it works. The burner fires up first time from the piezoelectric spark and it gives off a reasonable heat as the burner guard warms up. I haven't cooked on it, but the heat output seems adequate enough.
Folded up, it's a nice compact little unit. As previously stated, the quality isn't the greatest but the next level of bbq will have a thicker body and possibly a cast griddle plate. All this would add to the weight as well as the cost ( the next cheapest similar bbq I found was over £100 dearer) and so I accepted the compromise that this bbq offers.
All in all, I'm satisfied with what I have received for the price, albeit a little damaged on reciept, and the fact it is so light and compact makes it ideal for loading into the caravan.
The lack of five stars isn't a criticism of this bbq as it does exactly what I need and expected, but that's specific to me and a 5 star rating would not reflect what you are actually purchasing.

So we have this with us on holiday, and it's great. Cooks really well, with lots of space on the grill. It heats really well and quickly, and we have used it every day since being here with really good results. I would also suggest to anyone getting this or any other bbq to also get the black bbq reusable grill mats that you can see us using in the picture. They spread the heat really evenly, stop fat dripping onto the burner and base, keep the grill clean and stop food being lost down between the grill bars. They're as cheap as chips and clean up with a damp cloth.
All in all, I'm very impressed with the performance of this bbq.

There's not much to dislike, really. The instructions were a bit unclear at times, but not too bad. It would have been nice if the gas tap indicated how far it was turned on, but I don't think the barbecue is best regulated that way. By a judicious use of the lid and turning over the food frequently excellent results are obtained. Some people have opined that the gas tap is not right because it swivels - this is deliberate, as a peep at the manual will reveal. I have used it twice so far and love it. It's great to be able to put it in the shed after use instead of having to leave it outside which even if covered reduces a barbecue's working life. It took me about ninety minutes to assemble, but I took it gently.

Nice space saving bbq for our caravan, but the valve is of poor standard, it would be better if it had a knob on it with markings so you can monitor how far you have it open as you can easily turn it off when trying to turn it down (I have used a permanent marker to indicate lowest through to highest) Also ensure that there is a clip on the valve that would allow the valve to rotate without falling out, it should be on the groove to hold the nut in place. Ours was missing, but customer services were really quick at responding and sent us a new valve out which arrived the next day. This could have caused a fatality if we hadn't been aware, as the valve could have easily fallen out and if someone had been smoking near by it could be nasty! So ensure you check it before use !
Once the valve was sorted ( locked in and marked) it cooked the food lovely, can't wait to use it again😀😀

The overall design is good but feedback poor simply because of a serious safety issue I found with mine. The gas valve can simply and easily be accidentally pulled off even when open which would lead to a major gas leak. The valve pipe has a groove machined in it which looks like it should have a circlip fitted. If it was that was in place it would resolve the problem. I reported this to the supplier and got a reply saying it was a very common query but it was meant to be like that, to stop the pipe kinking. I tried several times to explain that the circlip in place would allow the pipe to rotate preventing any kinking, but prevent it from being accidentally pulled out. They still insisted it was ok. It clearly is not ok as the valve simply pulls off. If you have one of these barbecues please check this out or there could be a serious leak and accident caused by this fault. I have told them to contact the manufacturer to initiate a recall, but frankly I don't think they will as they don't have a clue.
