Product description
Including the new single The Beginning, The Forest is the Path is an album rooted in reflection, introspection and interrogation. One of its key building blocks, says Gary, was the idea of love from the distance of time. “I haven’t been in a relationship for a very long time, 10 years or more, so love from a distance to me meant the way a relationship sits in your memory from a distance of, say, 10 years. That’s not something I’d previously thought about as away to write about love. So it’s like, when you’re in love, you’re standing in the lobby of the Empire State Building. When you’ve broken up with that person, you’re out in the street. You can still see the building, but you’re not in there anymore. And when it’s 10 years later, now you’re standing in Brooklyn looking at the Manhattan skyline.”"

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2024It seems an age since the last Snow Patrol album so it is great to hear from them again. After such a long hiatus I wasn't sure what to expect but I certainly wasn't disappointed.
I have one of the signed copies which arrived within 3 days of ordering and was delivered by DPD who even knocked on the door rather than simply shoving it through the letterbox.
The signatures are crisp and clear in silver pen. The only criticism I would make is that someone at غ saw the need to stick a barcode sticker right across one of the signatures. Luckily it came off with causing any damage. Perhaps in future غ could go back to the signed inserts which can at least be framed?
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 December 2024Best album this winter !
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2024This isn't a bad album, but it's all fairly typical of Snow Patrol and none of the tracks really stand out. There's nothing of the class of Run or Chasing Cars. Fans of the group will like, maybe even love, it. But if you've not heard them before then, as an introduction to the band, look at previous albums first.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2024This album is one of the best comebacks ever! I love every Snow Patrol album but The Forest Is The Path is absolutely amazing. I can't stop listening to it. Every song's lyrics sound so personal, so beautiful, the music is divine. Well done, guys!!! I absolutely love the work you put into this album. Pure perfection.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2024Goo to see that Snow Patrol hasn't lost their musicality. New material with the same great sound.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 December 2024I’m going to see the great SP in February and of course the sound will be miles better than this recording. I’m so disappointed with the compressed production with no dynamics like there was on, ‘Wildness’ which I have on a 24bit Download. Maybe it’s better on LP ? Or hi-res download?
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2024Brill album play it all the time
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 October 2024Love Snow Patrol and was eagerly waiting for this new one. Love the single but the rest is a tad dreary! My opinion, so sorry SP!

3.0 out of 5 stars Un bon album

5.0 out of 5 stars Una conferma della qualità degli Snow Patrol

5.0 out of 5 stars Überragend, Gratulation, Mr. Lightbody!!!
Tipps: "All", "this is the sound of your voice", "never really tire" und "what if nothing breaks" - eigentlich alle Lieder! Volle Punktzahl!!!
Slàinte mhath!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Beautiful Album
Snow Patrol’s music is simply beautiful. I have all their albums & The Forest is the Path is as fantastic as all the others. Mr. Lightbody’s voice lends the music & lyrics a hypnotic quality. It is in my CD player now. I buy the CD because I know I will love every song. I was right!
