Normal ginger roots can either be prepared with a parer or, if really young, the back of a knife. It would be impossible to accomplish this. Any attempt to clean the root would result in a withered piece the size of a fingernai.
I use ginger all the time, both in the kitchen, with cereal and a slice in my tea. This would be impossible to use. I had hoped that I would be purchasing quality, but have been informed that it's under a "non-returnable" clause in the policy.
I've been cheated.
