I'm using for my Ooni Karu 12 pizza oven.
I still use a metal peel to turn and remove the pizza though.
make sure to only clean with warm water, don't use soap as this will soak into the board.

I like these three peels, they are ideal for prepping pizzas for my ooni. You need to put plenty of course semolina flour so the pizzas don't stick and can be launched easily into the oven.
It's good to have three as people can prep their pizzas while the chef cooks them.
The only thing is that I've used these for two years but last time someone spilled a drink on them and let them sit in the wet so the plywood has split apart quite badly. We've glued and put them on a vice so they work ok again. Just don't ever get them very wet. They aren't for serving the pizzas on

DONT BUY - they have cheapened these - i bought 6 of them them last year and need these extra 3 for tomorrow - so cant return - I am very fed up that the damaged one was in the middle of the pack - a dent in the middle and the bevelled edge damaged. I cant make good the dent but can use sandpaper to tidy the chipped bevelled edge, but I shouldnt have to.

Made in China - now rotten quality - I MUST start a business in making them.

In use, when not damaged, they are very good - just DONT eat off them, DONT cut into them, DONT get them very wet and store them when absolutely dry and in a very dry place. We prepare each pizza on them and hubby slides them onto the OONi metal peel and then into the Pizza oven - or straight in - I am too busy to watch. Just use lots of semolina.

3 palas para pizza a ese precio (unos 22 euros) es una oferta inmejorable. Habría estado bien que las palas estuvieran perfectas; alguna tenía nudos de la madera (o marquetería, más bien), otra un agujerito... Son muy sencillas, pero perfectas para el uso que les doy, y es que hace cerca de 9 años que uso este tipo de palas, y tenía solo dos, necesitaba alguna adicional.

Es decir, amaso mis pizzas y las dejo reposar en la pala (previamente espolvoreada con bastante sémola) para que la masa crezca. Como solo tenía 2, solo podía dejar 2 reposando. Después, las decoro y las meto en el horno desde las propias palas. Y ahí termina su trabajo. Es decir, no las uso para sacar las pizzas del horno, ni mucho menos para servirlas, y jamás se me ocurriría cortar las pizzas sobre ellas.

He visto gente que se queja porque se rayan, o porque al cortar las pizzas los ingredientes las tiñen quedando manchadas para siempre... A ver, ¡es lo normal! Es madera porosa (lo que permite que la masa no se pegue tanto a las palas) y no de muy buena calidad, hay palas por mucho más dinero que podrían servirte para todo eso, pero estas no. Son para lo que son, como mucho, para sacar las pizzas del horno.

Si cortaras pizzas sobre estas palas, o sobre unas mejores, podría ser un problema para que la pizza "resbale" al horno desde la pala, porque las arañarías sí o sí, a la corta o a la larga. En definitiva: compraos platos de 30 centímetros para servir las pizzas y cortarlas en ellos.
