In the photo, this spade is the small green one on the right. This might put some people off - my wife says it looks like a toy spade. However, after a bit of 'digging' on the Internet (pun intended) I learnt that there are 3 basic types of spades. A narrower one like this is usually called a 'border' spade- good for digging in borders, where - for example - you want the least risk of damaging roots of nearby plants when making holes. The product description calls it a 'digging' spade in one place (a term often used for *standard* spades) and a 'border digging spade' elsewhere, but I'd have been none the wiser when I bought it anyway and the images look mostly like a standard spade to me.The given width and height dimensions seem to be a bit out as well, not that I'd checked beforehand. Eg the width (given as 20cm) is more like 14cm.But in summary, though I think the product description and images are potentially misleading, the price was good & I now see why a border spade can be a useful tool, so I'm keeping it. :-)Hope this helps.
