This Garden Locker squirrel feeder is the perfect way to help your local squirrels out by offering them an easy source of food. Although common grey squirrels can be seen in British gardens all year round, this feeder really comes into play during the winter months where it is much harder for squirrels to find food. Depending on the frequency of squirrels in your garden, it may take them a while to find this feeder but once they do they will start coming every day!
The feeder also acts as a deterrent from squirrels attempting to eat at your bird feeders. Place it away from your bird feeding area to tempt the squirrels to an easier snack.
Once the squirrels find this feeder in your garden they will keep coming back for more. The lightweight rain lid is on a low resistant hinge so the squirrels can easily open it. They will happily stand or sit on the large feeding platform provided and then lift the lid and help themselves to the food inside the feeder. It's actually quite funny watching them operate this and super cute seeing them pack their cheeks full of nuts. Peanuts will be a low cost favourite in this feeder but if you want to push the boat out a bit more we suggest using Hazelnuts!

This squirrel feeder comes with a single, pre drilled fixing point enabling you to quickly screw it into a wooden post or tree. It can be installed in seconds. If you ever want to move it, simply unscrew and re-screw it into the new position.
Our squirrel feeder comes with a galvanised metal lid so that any rain water simply runs off of it and onto the ground below. This helps prevent water sitting on the food and eventually making it rot. The weather proof lid is super light though so the squirrels can lift it up with ease.
This feeder features a large sized clear feeding window to show the squirrels exactly what’s inside. You can also easily see how much feed is left and when you need to take action on re-filling. The clear feeding window is also removable so that you can clean it when needed.

The UK has the grey and the native red squirrel, both need your help. A lot of squirrel habitats are in decline with constant building on land which forces them further into the suburbs and cities. They are happy to move to pastures new but they need a source of food, you can do your bit to help them with this feeder.
