After fitment, switched on and the equipment was recognised in BIOS when booting up. Great selection of card readers that recognised and read all cards immediatley. I don't have the 20pin connector on my MB so just connected the other 2 cables and the card reader works fine but no USB's.
My bad so not a complaint, got built in USB3.0 on rear & top of my computer so ones on this ain't really needed.
Passing this info on as this can still be used without using the 20pin connector BUT the USB's will not work. Keeping this as it will still be usable on my next desktop upgrade

I bought this to replace and combine my external card reader and two port USB3 3.5" front panel. As my machine is over 10 years old it didn't have a 20 pin USB connector on the motherboard but I had installed some time ago a USB3 PCI card which had an internal port. In order to connect it I had to buy an additional adapter (/gp/product/B07X5522VQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which I've installed. Card reader and USB3 ports work perfectly. I've been unable to test the eSATA and Type C ports as I've nothing to connect to them.

I purchased this item to allow me to read my photographs in to my computer. It clearly had the added benefit of providing additional USB3 ports. However, neither of my modern desktop computers has a motherboard socket which will accept the USB3 interface plug so that aspect of the unit is redundant. Why was the connectivity not explained in the description? The SD slot is particularly poorly designed. The SD cards are difficult to put in and more than difficult to extract. The instructions such as they are border on rubbish! I am obliged to keep the unit until I can find a more suitable alternative after which it goes in the bin.

TAKE TIME TO ALIGN AND TIGHTEN SCREWS. so when you insert a usb device you are not pushing the unit back a bit, or indeed pulling it out when you remove the usb. i use the sd, and xd card readers fairly often transfering pics from the cards to my pc. the usb ports i use more often. so far i have tried the 3 usb ports, plus the sd/xd cards (5) all at the same time, and they are all read at the same time, showing up as a different drive in file explorer. so you can view ALL on your screen. i think that this is a very useful addition to any pc. IF your case supports a 5 1/2 inch hub.

Attira il prezzo elevatissimo che dovrebbe essere indice indiscutibile di qualità e affidabilità. Buono l'imballo ma scheletro troppo minimal, articoli che costano quasi un quinto in meno hanno il case in metallo, questo è ridotto a un perizoma di plastica tipo trottola elettronica da spiaggia agostana (dei tempi andati). Ridondanza di cavettatura che sostiene l'alto costo ma non la sostanza finale. Regge bene solo la porta USB 2 che sopporta da sola l'intero palco schede memoria (con relativa velocità). Deficitario il cavo monstre USB 3 (collegato solo alla relativa portina, non alle schede memoria, tutte USB 2) che crea perenne conflitto con Win 10 - 64 - errore 43, classico delle periferiche non qualificate. La stessa presa sulla MB funziona perfettamente con identico attacco porte USB 3 del case in uso, di alta classe. Il problema sta in questo device che sul sito del produttore non ha alcun driver, tantomeno a rimedio. Sconsigliato. Reso all'istante considerato il prezzo elevatissimo in rapporto a costruzione/funzionalità.

Mit Voller Erwartung habe ich mein altes Frontpanel ersetzt durch diesen.
Alles schien zu funktionieren, alles getestet, alles fein fein, dachte ich.
Micro SD in Adapter rein und Videos vom Dashcam geschaut, war nur am stottern und ruckeln.
War ich so nicht gewohnt von meinen Alten. Usb ssd Hdd rein und nur 137 Mb in der Sekunde.
Der Alte hat an die 500 geschafft.
Für mich in diesen Falle nur ein Geschwindigkeits verlust, war nichts zu machen.
2 Sterne weil dieser Frontpanel sehr gut reingepasst hat iimTower, sah auch gut aus, das wars aber...
Den alten mit neuen Adapter 5,25 zu 3,5 wieder rein, und schon läuft alles wieder wie gehabt.
So wieder Retoure und weitere Erfahrung gesammelt, das wars.
