I bought this to build a cheap AM4 proxmox home server with a Ryzen 5600X and ECC ram.
ECC RAM (Micron unbuffered ECC) works without issue and I'm even able to boot the system without a GPU once quick boot is enabled in the BIOS. Gigabyte has a good history of this working without issue and don't restrict their boards arbitrarily hence I picked them over other brands, along with solid reliability.
It's a shame theres only two case fan headers (plus the CPU cooler) so I had to use a splitter to add a third fan, but this isn't really an issue and works fine.
Overall a great board if you're on a budget without many compromises.
