For Il Divo Greatest Hits many of the tracks have been chosen by their fans all over the world and include favourites "Somewhere", "Unbreak My Heart", "Unchained Melody" and "Adagio". They also recorded four songs especially for this release: "My Heart Will Go On" (in Italian), "I Will Always Love You" (in Spanish), "I Can¡¯t Help Falling In Love With You" (English) and "Alone" (Spanish).

    My main music preference is for country music which I've been interested since the 1950s but my interest has waned since the 1990s. I also like swing and pop music from the 40s and 50s and the Rolling Stones. I got into classical music in the 70s when I first heard Bolero and I've been a fan ever since although I'm not keen on the heavy stuff. I was a singer for many years so I lean towards vocals and I lsten to Mario Lanza, Joseph Locke, Caruso and lately I've gotten into Russell Watson, Kathryn Jenkins, Rolando Villazon (probably wrong spelling, don't suppose he'll care as long as I buy his CDs) and Il Divo. My wife and I are also huge fans of Andre Rieu but this Il Divo CD is the cat's whiskers. We love it and what a great introduction to this marvelous vocal duo, we had it on all over Christmas along with Kathryn Jenkins and Russell Watson.

    My mother passed recently and I was searching the internet to find something moving and relevant to play at the funeral. I came across "Mama" by Il Divo and it couldn't have been more appropriate. I listened to some of the other songs after that and loved them too. I ordered the CD thinking that all of the songs would be in English, but that is not the case. I don't even care. This kind of music and singing transcend language and go directly to the heart. I am so happy I bought it.
