This is a good value little flower press, and a nice size, either as a starter kit or an extra one to keep in your vehicle for when you are out and about.

Very good quality thick blotting paper Included.
Nice to have the scissors and the tweezers, scissors are very good quality and cut well.
Really need a spanner to hold the end of the bolt to be able to tighten the wing nuts.
Washers really needed to be attached to the wood to keep in place as they are easy to lose.
Wood bows slightly when tightened.
Would have been nicer if the box was slightly bigger so the press could be kept in it when in use.

For the money, I am very happy with this.

Excellent flower press kit. Comes disassembled with everything you need to get started, including the cardboard sheets and blotting paper to fill the press with. Simple assembly instructions included along with a few ideas on how to choose good flowers for pressing. We now have so many pressed flowers we dont know what to do with them (the laminator has been popular recently !)

A great craft/toy and one that can be used again and again - recommended.
The price at the time of review was around £18 which is good value for a product that will be used again and again.

This large flower press is certainly larger than the normal square ones you tend to find, this one is more A4 size.

It's a simple principle, wood, bolts, wingnuts, washers, cardboard and blotting paper; put them together and place your flowers between the blotting paper and tighten the wingnuts and wait.

It can also be used to flatten anything else out that you want, I flattened some marble paper my son and I had been making so we can make end of term thank you cards.

The washers could do with being larger but it's not a big issue.

I like that it comes with enough sheets of card so you can flatten several layers of flowers (or whatever) at once.

I ordered this so that I could start pressing flowers from the garden. The press comes in a sturdy box, together with everything you need to get started - blotting paper and cardboard sheets, scissors forceps, and wooden frame with wing-nuts and bolts. The press itself is about A4 sized, so ample room for even large flowers- and you can fit half a dozen smaller sprays per blotting paper sheet. It’s so easy to use- this is perfect for adult use, but would equally be perfectly useable by a child- you just place the flowers or leaves you want to press between blotting paper sheets and card (the forceps really help with the placing), put the wood top over, tighten the clamps, and leave for a few weeks for the blotting paper to absorb any moisture / dry the flower out. All in all, I’m really pleased with this flower press- its built to last, great value, and just 3 weeks on, I have my first dried flowers to frame.

This is a simple, but strong flower press made from robust materials. It includes a decent amount of card & blotting paper to get you started, though I prefer to use pressed board cut to size, as this provides a flatter, more even base under the blotting paper.
It does what it's meant to - applying strong and even pressure to flowers sandwiched between card & blotting paper.
I do also plan to use it for pressing prints (it would be particularly useful for etching and for registering multiple coloured lino prints, where cushioning and paper could be taped to the upper board and low registration borders on the bottom for the lino) and, possibly, for applying pressure to handmade paper to eliminate moisture and create very flat sheets, though I do need to explore any possible effect of moisture on basswood - if it seems likely to pose a problem, I can use it to do final pressings of the paper when almost dry.
