I had an issue with these, in that they rusted very quickly even with the lid, which is why I bought them as my last ones rusted badly which I had assumed was down to them NOT having a cap - and it was dangerous to carry around that way! . The seller of these scissors with the cap contacted me explaining they need to be wiped every time as even cutting flowers leaves some moisture on them. They then offered to send me a new set which arrived quickly and i have done as instructed - they have stayed lovely and clean. And by the way they are great for what they were made for, cutting flowers etc. nice and sharp! but these also have a safety feature not had on previous i owned, which prevents the two blades from overlapping so you don't cut your thumb!
