I’ve became a road bike freak last year, at first it was with spinning bike at the gym, then peloton bike at the office, I’ve been doing around 200 to 300miles a week when decided to take it to a next level and buying my first road bike. It was obviously great and it was coming with me basically anywhere I was going to even if It was only coming out of the boot for an hour. I love up north which means there are hills everywhere and you’re going up hill a lot more than downhill. It’s not so much of an issue in the warmer months but it becomes unbearable when it’s windy and rainy and we get a lot of that! Not wanting to give up on the bike or have it wasting away over winter months I’ve decided to do a little research of how to make best use of it without feeling the ick of being outdoors in the dark and cold. I’ve heard of all sorts of turbo trainers before but never have it a thought due to the lack of appropriate bike, now having that thought it would be a good moment and plenty of reasons to revisit the though. Didn’t want to spend much on it as wasn’t sure it would be something for me so decided to go for cheaper option. ��غ��s always my first go to and after scrolling for a moment I came across this turbo trainer. It arrived the next day and couldn’t wait to get home to test it out. It’s very easy to mount and does not damage the wheel, it’s quite petite yet very stable to you can go hard all you want and push climbs standing out without falling over. It really is a good quality for money and has been serving the purpose daily, having that I don’t think there’s a need of spending over £100 for a turbo trainer which does exactly the same job. If you are in similar place like I was this is your perfect starting point, if you don’t like it because biking at home turns out not being your thing then you haven’t spent hundreds on something that doesn’t work for you.

I really can't workout other people's complaints of the resistance. I need to have this on lowest setting or it's too hard to cycle. I am doing 150 miles per week between using this and road cycling.
It's been a game changer for my cycling.
If you tighten the tyre tensioner on and off it will find a sweet spot for that tyre.
Too hard and it will shed rubber,too soft and it will slip. Also remember rubber expands under heat. So I back my adjuster off with a quarter turn every 10 miles.
As a helpful tip,to prevent tyre wear, I've simply used some hockey stick tape once around my tyre to stop any tyre wear. It takes ten seconds to apply and around 20 seconds to remove. I've also used insulation tape for the same. I've also found the tape gives me s great traction and finer adjustment on the roller.
The spindle pin is quick release and simply slide your original out and slide this into your rear wheel. Again a 20 second job.
I take this bicycle out on the road and it takes no more than 1 minute to set up or down. When I changed to winter tyre from my summer gator skin, I found the rubber really wore hence the tape trick I've described. The summer slick gstorskin tyre didn't wear at all.
I would say the resistance range takes you from riding on a flat to a 3degree hill. But the real resistance range is from how much pressure you tighten the tyre adjuster to. More pressure, more resistance and you can wind that up until it is like a 10 degree hill.

To be honest I have not used this yet. That said, I have used these trainers for years and have already set it up in the garage and made sure that the bike fits, which it does. Everything rotates and the wheel size, 29 inches, doesn't seem to be an issue. As the weather lately is great down here I am not likely to use it until Sep/October as the cooler and wet weather becomes an issue. I loved the additional bits, spare axel and the front wheel lifter, an extra with most other frames sets out there.
