    Short answer is a definate YES!

    Bungie deliver a game which you can tell from the moment you see the intro to the moment the credits roll was created out of sheer love. Don't be fooled by trolls that tell you this is just Halo 3 it is far far more than that. The game engine has obviously been revamped a lot, the game looks gorgeous in motion. Campaign for the first time since Halo 2 is engaging, nobody unless they've never played an FPS game before should bother playing in easy or normal. The most fun is Legendary, pick Heroic if you aren't willing to take your time, and those who love a real challenge will be able to play in co-op mode (Difficulty increases with the more players in the game). Bungie has taken a lot on board what people complained about Halo 3, the story is an epic and emotional journey.

    Multiplayer hasn't suffered from the attention campaign has received at all, in fact it's quite the opposite, it's gotten even better! Armour abilities (AAs) really mix things up, but yet the game still very much feels like Halo should. Ranking up is a lot more fun compared to Halo 3, Bungie throws awards, acheivements and credits that you can spend in the new Armoury feature which lets you customize your Spartan (male or female) from head to toe.

    Bungie have really spoiled us there are only a couple of negatives I have, campaign on the odd occassion can suffer from noticable frame rate drops but this generally happens during cut scenes so gameplay doesn't suffer. No customizable controlls but Bungie has done a good job with what they've given us. Forge world only uses Forerunner textures and items are mostly the asme has Halo 3's forge. Other than that this game is near as perfect as you can get, so I've still given it a perfect score. I won't need to buy any new games for awhile.

    Ninja edit: How could I forget! Credit needs to be given to Martin O'Donnell for the amazing soundtrack, I'd rate this on par with Halo 2's soundtrack.

    Having just recieved this from غ a few days ago. I can give my opinion of the game. Firstly it is without doubt the best Halo game ever produced in my opinon (And I am fully qualified in that area as I have played them all). The graphics are out of the top drawer (Very remenicent of COD Modern Warfare 2 with the grass blowing in the wind). It is little touches like that that make the difference.
    The AI is very good and the overall game play is excellent.
    I decided to go for the Collectors edition this time. (I am not usually that bothered about all the little bits that come with the "Collectors/Special" editions), but I thought I would make an exception this time. The extras have been well thought out and cleverly packaged and will be a welcome addition to any Halo fans collection.
    Shame that this is Bungies Swan Song, but they have gone out on a high.

    In short: its all i expected for this game! So i'm pretty happy whit this chapter of halo as a videogame.

    I advice all newcomers (and everyone else to) to read the halo: ghosts of Onyx, Contact Harvest and the Fall of Reach to full understand the background story of this game (and the rest of published books as well because they all are great action-scifi books).

    As for the game its almost a 100% score for me. Not going to spoil by resuming it so go out and play what is the best Halo game to this date.

    Furthermore, the customer service is excellent, I tried ordering this item once before but the sellers quality assessment department deemed the version of the product they were going to send me was too damaged to meet their standards and offered a full refund - Entirely on their own accord!! I didn't ask for a refund or even have the item at that point but they very kindly gave me a refund long before the item could have arrived disappointingly in bad condition

    wie in der Überschrift schon gesagt, die Extras in der Limited-Edition sind sehr umfangreich und sehr gut gemacht (Tagebuch, Spartan-Aufnäher, Spartan-Ausweiß, diverse "Fotos" und "Hinweiße", Landkarte...), alles wirkt sehr authentisch und liebevoll gestaltet zudem auch noch sehr hochwertig...

    Aber das Spiel ist echt nicht das gelbe vom Ei, zum einen ist das ganze Spiel wie eine Werbekampagne für die US-Armee aufgebaut, voll plumper Heroismus der amerikanischen Art, zum andern ist das Setting, die Atmophäre, der Spiel- und Storryablauf sehr Halo-untypisch und zu wenig "zukunftsmäßig", man bekommt haufenweiße Benzintanks und Holzpaletten zu sehen, was, für mich, die Atmophäre völlig kaputt macht, dazu dann dieser dumme "Nobel-Six-Quatsch" mit 08-15 Charaktären wie aus zweitklassigen Weltkriegsshootern (Der Brachiale, der Komander, der Sniper und natürlich noch ein "Brachial-Weibchen", allesammt voll auf "Agro" und leicht dümmlich, das hat für mich nichts mehr mit der eigentlichen Halo-Atmosphäre gemein...

    Die Kämpfe sind, wie gewohnt, sehr fordernd und immer etwas anders im Ablauf, die KI gehört zu dem besten im Shootergenre, wäre da nicht das zu "reale" Setting und der dumme "Armee-Werbe-Flair", sondern der typische Halo-Epos am Start, wäre es eine Wucht, doch so, nur eher eine Eintagsfliege und wird so meiner Meinung nach, niemals den Status von Halo Combat Evolved erreichen, genau genommen geht es seit dem ersten Teil stetig bergab mit Halo, zwar werden Grafik und Spielmechanik, mit jedem Teil, immer leicht verbessert aber was Storry-Telling, Spielablauf und Atmosphäre angeht, nimmt die Quallität, seit Teil 2, immer weiter ab, wurde Teil 2 noch kräftig ausgebaut und mit einer sehr packenden Story und einer ellenlangen Kampagne gespickt, wurde ab Teil 3 immer weiter abgebaut und die Solokampagne immer "flacher".
    Halo Reach ist somit die schlechteste Umsetzung der Halo-Saga (ausgenommen der Grafik)....zumindest für mich...;0)
