The bin was a battered during transit. Was offered some money off or return refund. Took the money off and some hammering has mostly taken the dents out. As it’s being used as an ash bin perfection is not so important. Works well for what we are using it for.

Nice wide opening to get the entire ash pan over the opening, so not too much spillage when emptying the ash pan.
So far, it's withstood 80mph gusts, snow and rain and it still functioning as it should.

I bought two of these buckets to keep rodents out of my bird food. They each take a 15kg sack of seed, so perfect for what I needed. They need a half brick on the lid, as it's lightweight and I can imagine a rat could find its way in otherwise. I've just bought a couple more, one as an ash bucket, and the other to store paper and kindling to make sure it doesn't end up as rodent nest material. Very pleased with them so far, and the rodents have just about given up and gone elsewhere...

I bought this for outside use but the lid doesn't fit properly. Rain water can easily get in the gap. And because of the gap and the fact it has no grip, wind will have the lid off very easily. As for the handle, that looks like an after thought.
