Excellent card; will happily record four HD channels without issues (not that there’s much ‘quadrilinear’ DVB T2 content out there!). WinTV 8.5 is a great application under constant development.
One caveat - if upgrading from another Hauppauge product, in my case the USB WinTV Dual HD, erase the channel database or the two extra tuners won’t be detected by the Quad HD.

Card contains 4 Sil2168 tuners, therefore it works perfectly under Linux. I'm using it with Tvheadend t o stream DVB-C content, and does a really good job. It has a much better reception than most USB tuners. Only drawback is, that it has a single input, for all tuners.

You have to download the WinTV v8.5 which has the upto date drivers as you get no CD. Running the card with Windows Media Center and can run the WinTV at the same time with no issues. It does have a remote but its a bit buggy but don't really need it.

I use Windows 7 with Windows media center and this is a review of the Hauppauge Wintv-Quadhd on Windows 7 using Windows media center. .
I have always used Hauppauge cards.
I respect the company because they always issue new drivers keeping up with Windows upgrades so even my old cards still work. I thought I would get rid of my 4 USB tuners for this one card. I have had it almost a year and when it works it is good BUT it crashes my computer almost once a day requiring a hard reboot. As others said, with the card installed the computer boot time goes up by about 30 seconds, I guess while it is loading the drivers. This was annoying but I could live with it. The biggest problem was that during use the computer would freeze requiring a hard reboot this would happen almost once a day. In the past with other cards my computer would run for months loyally recording programmes without a reboot. Also I was continually getting messages saying that there was a weak TV signal so many of my recordings were corrupt and many of the channels become unwatchable for live TV. A reboot would fix this until the next time I got the message. I scheduled an automatic reboot at 3am which seemed to reset the card and allow it to run for more days without a crash. In the end I sent it back and I have bought a “TBS 6205 QUAD FREEVIEW DVB-T2/T/C Terrestrial / Cable Quad TV Tuner PCIe Card” and my media computer is back to its reliable self and has been running for a week without a crash and no “Weak signal” messages. Only give 1 star because if it is not reliable it is next to useless.

update after replacing the Hauppauge quadHd with the “TBS 6205 QUAD FREEVIEW DVB-T2/T/C Terrestrial / Cable Quad TV Tuner PCIe Card” my media pc running windows 7 and windows media centre is back to being a haumax killer it runs for ever without crashing and the "weak singnal" problems have gone away

I had issues with tuners losing signal, my aerial was newly installed and gave near perfect signal on 3 different USB tuners. I understand there would be loss due to splitting the signal 4 ways but this card simply lost too much and would not allow me to use it correctly.

Quite often you could be channel zapping and one second you could tune, the next you couldn't.

I was using TVHeadend on linux, tested with different driver builds. All gave same result and the whole time the USB tuners kept on working.

I'll get a TBS card and use 2 inputs.

The manufacturers claim in their marketing material that this card is supported on Linux, but I'm afraid it isn't.
I have mine installed in a Linux system, and most of the time it works, but from time to time the recordings fail. I emailed Hauppauge's technical support to ask them for help in troubleshooting the problem, but they refused and said they would only help me if I can install the card in a Windows system.

Will be sending it back for a refund.

Il quad è indipendente dal mux (multiplex) selezionato, quindi è possibile selezionare fino a 4 canali contemporaneamente senza alcuna restrizione dello stesso (foto allegata).
Nessun "impuntamento" durante la visione in modalità quad, ovviamente l'audio in uscita sarà quello della finestra selezionata.
In modalità PIP DUE sintonizzatori (con immagine piccola ma ridimensionabile in basso a dx), si sentirà solo l'audio principale dell'immagine principale, poiché non sembra essere possibile selezionare l'audio del secondo sintonizzatore.
In questo caso è però possibile aprire due finestre indipendenti contemporaneamente, regolando l'audio del canale indipendentemente.

Nella scatola è contenuto la scheda, il ricevitore IR e il codice di WinTV 10, una staffa per slot mini, un manuale molto sintetico per l'installazione, ma nessun telecomando e cd.
Avendo però una vecchia Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-TD-Stick ho "riesumato" il telecomando peraltro pienamente compatibile.
I driver (12,3mb) e WinTV 10 (123mb9, vanno scaricati dal sito Hauppauge e installati DOPO aver inserito la scheda nella slot PCI Express.

WinTV 10: poche le novità rispetto alla ver. 8.5 se non una reattività maggiore, mi aspettavo anche un restyling grafico più user friendly.
Tuttavia sempre rispetto alla ver. precedente stranamente nella ricerca dei canali trova rai 1,2 e 3 tranquillamente, ma poi selezionandoli... segnale assente.
Mentre selezionando i canali 501, 502 e 503 (rai in HD) funziona benissimo.
Di conseguenza però eseguendo il test HEVC sul canale 100 (rai) fallisce, mentre sul 200 (mediaset) nessun problema.
Considerato che con la vers. precedente non si evidenza nessun problema, presumo sia un bug software della versione WinTV 10.
Aggiornare la guida EPG è un vero castigo: 1 min. per canale.
Eccellente la funzione "Disk Buffering" con impostazione del buffer variabile (nel mio caso 60 min), che permette di rivedere ed eventualmente salvare i video di vostro interesse.
Nulla di nuovo sia chiaro, ma sono rimasto piacevolmente stupito di poter constatare l'ottimo e rapido "rewind" di ben 4 canali contemporaneamente senza alcun problema. Tenere presente però che se la funzione di buffer è attiva, lo spazio richiesto su disco sarà proporzionale al numero di canali contemporaneamente attivati, circa 600/680mb x 20 min a canale con impostazione di default. Ovviamente una volta chiuso il software di gestione WinTV, tutti i files di buffer non preventivamente salvati manualmente, verranno automaticamente cancellati.
Tralascio i dettagli della classica opzione di programmazione della registrazione, peraltro perfettamente funzionale ma che personalmente uso davvero di rado.

Più in generale avendo diversi prodotti "TV" Hauppauge, nel corso degli anni ho potuto constatare che sono sinonimo indiscusso di ottima qualità rispetto a prodotti analoghi di marche più economiche. Sopratutto in tema di continuità di supporto. Considerate che la mia vecchia WinTV NOVA-TD-Stick 1175 supera pienamente i test HEVC 100 e 200, quindi pienamente compatibile con il futuro standard DVB-T2

J'avais déjà une vieille carte dual-tuner en PCIe (Terratec) qui fonctionne toujours très bien sous Linux, mais j'étais limité par le nombre de chaînes prises en charge et à cause de leur répartition en de multiple multiplexes, donc bien que je puisse enregistrer/visionner simultanément toutes les chaînes d'un même multiplex avec un seul tuner j'étais malgré bloqué du fait de la "mauvaise" répartition entre les 6 multiplexes... donc ça double mes possibilités et si j'avais une carte mère avec au moins deux emplacements PCIe disponibles je pourrais utiliser les deux en même temps, mais je n'ai actuellement qu'une CM mini ITX avec un seul emplacement PCIe... Donc, à voir lorsque lorsque je la changerai pour une CM micro ATX... ^^

En tout état de cause, elle est bien prise en charge par Linux (ma crainte au départ) en cherchant les bons firmwares disponibles sur internet, et avec un seul câble d'antenne contrairement à d'autres cartes du même genre où il en faut deux.

Il n'y a que la télécommande qui n'est pour le moment pas configurée, mais ce n'est pas ma priorité.
Ça doit surement bien fonctionner sous Windows, mais c'est encore mieux sous Linux. ;)

Petite précision : sous Linux, avec le logiciel Kaffeine, je peux enregistrer jusqu'à 20 chaines simultanément à raison de 5 chaines par multiplex, et à condition de rester sur un des 4 multiplex disponible on peut visionner une des chaines pendant que les 20 autres sont entrain d'être enregistrées... ^^

Carte achetée en 2019 et elle reste toujours pleinement fonctionnelle en 2024 alors qu'elle tourne H24 365 jours par an ! ;)
Par contre, je dois éteindre le PC quelques secondes une fois tous les 3 ou 6 mois, sinon je ne capte plus quelques chaines. Elles reviennent au prochain redémarrage de la machine.

En plus au prix de 109,21 € vendu et expédié par ��غ�� (tarif de 2019), c'est un sacré bon plan.

Donc je la recommande sans aucune hésitation

I have now, after weeks of lost spare time, gotten this tuner card to work. It works very well indeed. The problem was that tried to use the card in a Dell Optiplex 7050 PC, which after much time spent on the Dell support website updating drivers, updating BIOS, etc. - all to no avail - the PC just couldn't recognise the card as a tuner card. It sawit as a 4 channel USB extension card. When I installed the card in another PC (Gigabyte motherboard), it came straight up and the latest drivers installed perfectly.
so, after spending hours on hold to Dell tech support, they told me that - Sorry, that card is not supported. So I built up a HTPC using the motherboard that worked with the card and transferred the Dell 7050 to my office.
I would recomend anybody buying this card to avoid using it in a pre-built PC made for office work. Instead, go for a machine designed to run audio-visual applications.

Lo que más me gusta es que tiene cuatro sintonizadoras para poder grabar 3 canales y aún quedaría una sintonizadora libre para poder ver otros canales. Así no hay que volverse loco con los horarios de los programas.
Muy fácil de instalar tanto en Linux (software Kaffeine) como en Windows (WinTV).
Para Linux hay que buscar en Google las instrucciones, pero se encuentran muy fácilmente.
En la caja no viene incluido el software WinTV para Windows. Pero trae un papel que indica de dónde bajarlo y el número de serie para registrarlo. El programa WinTV está en español (creo que es multilenguaje).
En Linux el software Kaffeine lo tengo en español ... por supuesto.
Es rapidísma cuando se inicia el software tanto en Linux como en Windows.
Otra tarjeta antigua Hauppauge WinTV-HDR-1700 solo tenía una sintonizadora y en Linux tardaba unos 20 segundos en iniciar.
La recomiendo a todos los que estén hartos de las tarjetas con una sola sintonizadora.
He comprado tres. Dos para mis dos computadoras y una para el PC de un amigo.
