I'm in my 50s and while I just need moderate readers I happen to be reading a certain small format book that has 2 font sizes tiny which I can read and miniscule which i struggle with. However the small viewer shows things upside unless you turn it around which then means the lights are shining directly in your face. This seems like an overlooked design flaw but the main part will do well for what I need it for so I'm happy with it. Seems of good quality despite the flaw and has an easy weight to hold.

I would recommend this magnifying glass to anyone, not just oldies like me, there are always some times when print is difficult to read. What is really useful is the illumination feature as it allows you to see in the odd angles if needed. Be aware that you will need three AAA batteries in addition as, unusually these days, they don’t come supplied . This is excellent value and is recommended for everyone.
