Ideal for bleeding brakes without effort and on your own using pressure from your spare tyre. Suitable for hydraulic brakes and clutch systems. For use on tandem reservoirs, tandem master systems without sensors and slave and vacuum servos. Fits most cars using Lockheed, certain VAG metal and certain Girling systems. Full instructions enclosed.

I bought this to bleed the hydraulic clutch on my classic car. It came with the right sized cap and worked very well. My only criticism is that none of the caps are large enough for the brakes reservoir. This is not a problem for me currently as my brakes don't need bleeding, but I though it worth mentioning.

The plastic master cylinder cap that I needed had a poorly moulded thread so it would not tighten-down. A couple of wraps of PVC electrical tape took the slack up sufficiently to screw it down tight but only after a lot of mess and wasted fluid. After a few uses, the air valve on top of the reservoir bottle was found to be leaking so more mess and wasted fluid. Easy enough to fix by disconnecting the tyre valve but hassle you could do without. Hindsight tells me I should have spent a bit more and bought the 'original' version that this one has been copied from. I've been happily using pressure bleeders for years and this Hilka unit works very well but only if you have the patience to sort out it's weaknesses.

Fortunately I bought a replacement cap, drilled it and made my own. For that purpose it was well worth the money. I advise you measure your brake fluid cap and purchase accordingly
