Disappointing - takes ages to dry even a small load

Bought this model ( vented ) for its reasonable cost and 10 year parts guarantee ( having gone through 2 tumble dryers in 8 years).
It has a large drum and lots of snazzy sounding programs but seems to have an issue with the DRYER part of tumble dryer. The tumble part is fine.
I have not tried the WiFi function ( only works on 2.4G, not 5).
No matter which program I have tried, it takes at least triple the time to dry items than my basic previous machine. So no energy saving ( unless you count the lack of heat) as the machine is literally on for hours to dry a small load. The small print in the user guide states drying times are approx depending on a number of factors, including ambient temperature. No luck if you live in cooler climes and it's Winter!
Any cottons need at least 2 hours to dry ( I have had to give extra time - another 90 + minutes- for every load I have put in so far).
If smaller items are dry it goes on to the cool(er) cycle, with the result that big things are still pretty wet. There's a program to overcome this issue but you need to be there when it beeps to take the drier clothing out and re start the programme. Still to try that one out!
Will keep fiddling with the programming but am seriously considering asking for a refund as it's not fit for purpose I.e. drying anything within a reasonable time frame.
I am a very disappointed customer at the moment so cannot recommend this machine.
